All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsConverter ReplacementMy Montana Fifth Wheel, 3455SA, appears to have lost the converter. Model number is Xantrex xadc8120. Appears this is discontinued as prices are $599 for similar from them. Seems ridiculous. Looking at a product from Progressive Dynamics, but cannot determine which one. They range from 30 amps up to 80 amps. So question is, how do you know what to put in? Thanks, trying to get ready for Holiday weekend but really struggling. Found it under the steps to bedroom, but getting to backside is going to be a pain!!!!Re: Converter Location cummins2014 wrote: Jimfromvirginia wrote: I have a Montana 3455SA that either has battery issue (brand new but testing tonight) or converter issue. If it is where it is in my Montana, its behind the wooden grill in the face of the steps going up into the bedroom. Fairly easy to get to Found it as stated. Problem is it is mounted in a frame and cannot get to bolts in back. Also where at the 2 40 amp fuses everyone talks about?Converter LocationI have a Montana 3455SA that either has battery issue (brand new but testing tonight) or converter issue. Towing a 15,000 lb trailer so the truck is not over worked by any means. Might be upgrading fifth wheel to a little bit heavier soon. Short of it, I have searched on have not had much luck. Looking for quiet yet good traction (Continentals on there are highway and do not perform on wet grass or in mud very well. So go ahead and tell me what you think!Re: Yeti or PelicanSomeone messaged me to try the RTIC cooler. Reviews look good compared to Yeti, and the 65 is only $199! That is what I am looking for, so any comments on that brand are wanted.Yeti or PelicanRead some reviews on here and agree the Yeti is an awesome cooler, However I keep hearing of other coolers, like the Pelican for example, that perform as nicely, but a less cost. I am curious if anyone has seen or done comparisons. Gonna by a nice cooler and just trying to save some money. Any other brand recommendations appreciated.Re: Electric Brakes for Fifth Wheel alboy wrote: The 6750 axel rating is the same that our Newmar Cypress has, actually a derated 7000 lb axel .They come with the smaller brake assembly 12x2. I upgraded mine to the larger brake with no issues. The fiver is approx 15k, scale weighed.I pull with a 2015 DMAX with the integrated brake set at 4 only and have loads of stopping power .I went from a P2 controller on our 06 Ram to the integrated controller on the 15 and the difference was day and night with no other changes. Thanks for the help. Now down to Lippert or Dexter electric brake assemblies from Trailer Superstore. Anybody got experience with either of these? Also, when you went with the larger brake, was it worth the extra expense and which one did you go with?
