Seeing Anthony and Julie jump in the truck and drag a trailer down there to help was, well, priceless! If any 6.0L owners that haven't traveled over to the FTE site for information or help. I would highly suggest it. There are many folks on there willing to help and are on-line most of the time. If you post a question there, be sure to look for a reply shortly. You wont wait long. Val and Shannon, enjoy your time RVing. Less worries now. Great post Sean!!!! So true about the traffic on ford-trucks.com (FTE). We average about 300 members in the 6.0 section at any given time. We b family over there huh. LolRe: Awesome 6.0-Only MechanicThx guys,,, very kind words. I really think what goes around comes around. I had the opportunity to help someone out,,, So glad I did. Like I said before,, It felt great to do, I also welcomed the traffic n feedback for our company. I mean,,, we gotta eat. Otherwise called FTE (Ford Truck Enthusiasts). Re: Awesome 6.0-Only MechanicHello guys,,, my name is Anthony. I own Super Duty Service in Grain Valley MO. I completely understand all the skepticism about this story. I will fill in some details. Me and my wife have been leased on with a company in Indiana hauling campers for a long time. It is not a job I have to report to. I can call them once a year if need be. Mainly because we were full timers and the company I haul for is a small one. I saw Val n Shannon's thread they put on and I FRIGGIN hate it when shops say "yeah we do that". Only to find out they are trying to figure it out as they go,,, at the customers expense. It's shops like that that give the 6,0 the rep it has. I could tell Val would have given up n called the 6.0 junk if they didn't get this figured out. I was in canada visiting friends (who happens to be a sr master tech), when they posted on ford.trucks. I then called Indiana. I figured I'd see what they had. Low n behold,,, 36'fw goin to ponchatoula la. GOOD DEAL. I did get paid to drive to ponchatoula. So that's the story. I am not the cheapest,, And there are customers that I will not work for. Last week a guy came in and tried to get me to price match. No deal. My customers are ALWAYS happy. 100%,,,, sofar lol. I am a picky sob,,, and I like customers that are also. If someone is picky,,, they notice details. I like details. I'm rambling huh???? Here is a link to Val n Shannon's ordeal. It's touching. Lol http://m.ford-trucks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1265694 Don't get me wrong guys,,, I like money and try n focus on business. But think about it,,, my trip got you all talking about SDS. Lol. Mission accomplished. I looked at it as a PR venture. The following on our website was great. How many of you all have seen the movie "Pay it Forward"??? Hopefully my business will benefit. But either way,,, it felt darn good to help. Ok. No more rambling. Lol
