Let us know what happens.Re: LevelingWe had the Lippert Ground Control TT Leveling System installed on our 35' Crossroads TT a couple of months ago and albeit, costly; it was well worth it for us. We had 43' Cyclone Toy Hauler with the 6 point Level Up system and got spoiled with it. The Ground Control TT isn't as stable as the Level Up was but it sure beats using blocks or Lynx Levelers or anything like that. I did use the Anderson Levelers for a short while on this rig and was quite pleased with them. Just my .02 cents worth.Re: California Non-Commercial Class-A QuestionsMake sure you bring someone that has a Class A or Non Commercial Class A with you when you take the driving test. The DMV in my city didn't tell me that when I went to talk to them about getting my Non Commercial Class A. I went all the way to West Sacramento with my 43' Toy Hauler and F-450 the day of the driving test and was turned away. Don't have the TH or the F-450 now. Downgraded to an F-250 with a 35' TT. Good Luck to you.Re: Backing up your rig.I use both when backing up. I think all RV', TT, 5ers and Toy Haulers should come standard with a backup camera and on units that are longer than say 35' should also have side view cameras. Just my opinion.Re: Can I improve my gas mileage?I had a 2004 GMC 2500HD, 6.0 liter, gas with an 8' utility bed on it and all I could ever get out of it was 10 MPG not towing anything. Towing a 5' x 12' utility trailer, it was around 7.5 - 8. Currently our 2008 F-450 6.4 L diesel and towing our 43' Cyclone Toy Hauler, the best we did was 6.5 on a long trip from California to Nebraska and back. So, even the diesels are not that good mileage wise.Re: Possible to use Omni-Directional Antenna to boost WiFi?Those cellphone boosters for RV's are God Awful pricey! YIKES!Re: Backing up your rig. Jay Pat wrote: I have electric outside mirrors. I point them anywhere I want to look. If I'm backing up around a tight space, I will look back out my window or the right side backseat window. I even get out and look. I might get out and look several times. Whatever it takes. I don't just backup blindly. Protect your rig!!!! Pat I'm with you Pat....I get out, sometimes 2 or 3 times if I have to and check my surroundings. I too, use both my mirrors as I also have electric and telescoping mirrors and point them wherever I need to. People think I'm nuts getting in/out of the truck but I don't care. The last thing I want to do is mess up my $70k rig because I was too lazy to look.Re: Our first trip with our Cyclone 3800 catfishmontana wrote: LadyRVer wrote: What a beauty..congrats. Thanks! I am in love with the auto leveling system! It's my favorite feature. I've never even had power jacks before, let alone a system that does it all. The auto leveling system is my favorite feature also. I think the second (unintended) favorite feature is the central vacuum system.Re: California Non-Commercial Class-A QuestionsAfter much research and asking questions at the DMV as well as the CHP, I came to the conclusion that there is much confusion as to what Class of license is needed when towing a 43', triple axle, 15k+ lb. 5th wheel toy hauler. CHP says one thing, DMV says another, etc. So, I just took my Non Commercial Class A written, passed 100% and I will be scheduling the driving portion this next week. Unfortunately, not all DMV offices (mine included) has the capability to give the driving test so I will have to go to West Sacramento to take it. I did, however find out one very important piece of information that everyone else missed. If you are in an accident, driving or towing a vehicle that your current class of license doesn't permit, your insurance company can deny paying the claim(s). That's not to say they won't but they have the right to deny it because you were not properly licensed to drive/tow that particular vehicle. My insurance broker explained this one to me. Just something else to consider.Re: Blown tire bad GS-RA experienceThe DW and I were just talking about getting GSRA for our new Toy Hauler but after reading all these negative reports of GSRA, I think were going to just upgrade our current vehicle RA program to include unlimited towing and enhanced RA services.
