We have the same genset, the first year we owned it we had a similar sounding issue. You could hear the solenoid click but that was it. Turned out to be a frozen starter motor, fixed under warranty, thank goodness. You do have to pull the unit out to change the starter. We really like are 2013 XLR 27hfs, however we do not have the garage entry door, (wish we did). After looking at some internet photos I believe you are absolutely correct, there is now way to access the garage with the bed down. That price blows me away, wish I had paid that much. We were just issued a 2015 3500, with the 4.8 engine, it is fairly basic, and is the worst commuter vehicle we have ever been issued. The driver position is horrible, seats are uncomfortable, mirrors suck, and people sitting past the 3rd row look like pogo sticks in the rear view mirror. I couldn't even imagine towing with this setup. The good things, there are 2, it gets great gas millage, and the head lights are awesome. Other that that the whole program needs to be scrapped, IMO. It pains me to say this (because I am not a ford guy) but I would take a ford E350 (which we have been driving for the last 7 yrs) any day of the week over the chebby.544Views0likes0CommentsRe: Correct way to start Onan 4K generator
I have a 13 model 4k, I usually use the remote start switch inside my camper, crank for 15 sec, pause and crank 15 sec more. If its cold it usually starts on the 3rd attempt. We have a 2013 27hfs, and have had a few issues, none of which where forest rivers fault. One thing I was disappointed with was the lack of a insulated underbelly, when it was advertised with a cold weather kit, which means tank heaters only.82Views0likes0Comments
