Look forward to the pictures as well.Re: 2013 shadow cruiser poor quality customer serviceI just saw this and I figured I'd chime in. We have a 2013 280qbs as we'll and no trouble here at all. No weird tire wear or anything to report after 2000 miles or so we've put on it. Only thing that happened is a signal lamp cover fell off and cruiser mailed us one right out. I'll report back if anything happens but so far so good.Re: 2011 Tahoe Pulling Passport 2650BH Travel Trailer - AdviceI tow a 32 foot with our 2004 Tahoe. It's got a 7500lb towing capacity. HD tow package, trans cooler, WD hitch, sway, etc... I run about 5800lbs loaded and it tows fine. It's not ideal but it's ok for now. I do plan to purchase a 2500 HD next year due to comfort for longer more difficult trips but I stay in my area mostly and it does fine. You should make absolutely sure you have a trans cooler on that dude before you go too far though.Re: Spring Break camping with Kids tragusa3 wrote: Linville Falls / Grandfather Mountain makes a great trip too! It doesn't have all the touristy stuff, but is beautiful country. My young kids loved it, but they enjoy hiking and such as much as the city activities. The gorge itself has a character unlike anything else in the area. wbwood, I imagine Linville is a staple trip for you? Hmm, I've never heard of linville falls area. I just looked it up and it looks great. I will be making a trip there for sure!Re: Spring Break camping with KidsThank you to everyone for posting great Ideas. I am for sure going to mark all these up for future trips. I think we will probably do the Gatlinburg thing this time around. It's been years since Ive been there and I think the kids will probably like it. It is only about 4 hours from where I'm at. Thank you again.Re: Do you use your outside kitchen?I've used ours a couple times. I really use the outside kitchens refrigerator more than anything... Most of our cooking happens outside on a grill or camp fire but it's nice to have a sink and stuff outside.Re: Spring Break..Where Is It Warm Close to Missouri??I'd probably head towards Memphis, TN for some BBQ! :) Sorry that isn't much help but I'd think you would need to head into northern Louisiana or something for some warmer weather. We're making a Spring Break trip as well and might go into Alabama somewhere.Re: Spring Break camping with Kids Merrykalia wrote: It may be a little further than you wanted to go, but James Island County Park outside of Charleston is fabulous. We went for spring break last year and our daughters, then at age 5 and 8, absolutely LOVED it. They have lots of bike trails, a huge open field (where our little one learned to ride without training wheels), a seasonal water park (not open during March), It is 10 minutes from downtown Charleston and about 10 minutes (depending upon traffic) from the ocean at Folly Beach. Inside the park, there are lots of opportunities to fish (even for children). That is definitely further than we would like to go for this trip but I will add it to my list here for sure to check out for our longer trips! It looks like a very nice place. Thank you for the suggestion.Re: Lil Patch of Heaven or Others Near Bardstown KY Limit4 wrote: Do they still have the live outdoor play at the home? We were there years ago and sure enjoyed it. Yep, they still do the play usually from June-August every year. It's a pretty neat place really...Re: Lil Patch of Heaven or Others Near Bardstown KYI hate to drum up an older thread but I wanted to warn you to be informed about your question a bit more. I live in the area and Little patch of heaven is pretty much a field with no tree's. Yes it's right outside of town but there's literally nothing there. Not to say it's not nice, just nothing... My old KY home state park is right smack in the middle of town and is quite nice for how small it is. 5 min drive to downtown Bardstown and walk around for the day. Sites are fairly unlevel, but most people that stay there love it. I've personally never stayed there since I live right by it but I've been there and it's very well shaded in the summer. Very nice Golf course right next to it also. Bardstown is a great little town with absolutely a TON of Bourbon making going on. Makers Mark, Jim Beam, Four Roses, Bartons, Heaven Hill... All very very close. Heaven Hill is right down the road from the campground! :) Anyway OP feel free to message me for more information. I can even get you some pictures if you like.
