While it wasn’t our first choice we secured a site at Navarre Beach RV resort, and felt lucky to do so, given that summer is such a popular travel time. Thanks again for your help.Re: Emerald Coast Florida, campground adviceThank you both for your recommendations, thanks too for the advice on Reserve America.Destin RV ResortHas anyone stayed in this park? How close is it to the beach? I would appreciate any info on the park. Thanks so much?Emerald Coast Florida, campground adviceWe have had a change of plans and are looking for a campground on the Emerald Coast of the Florida Panhandle, on or near the beach. Our 13 year old grandson will be traveling with us. Destin would be nice, but really anywhere there’s a good beach is fine. Our preference would be for FHU, but could make do with water and electric. We have a 36’ fifth wheel. triple axle , so need good maneuverability. I know state parks are booked so private parks are fine. As always, thank you for your help.Heber City Utah to Orem, UtahDoes anyone have any experience with Hwy 189 from Heber City to Orem? We have a large, high profile (13’4”) fifth wheel, triple axle. In my RV atlas it isn’t shown as an RV friendly road. We will have to go considerably out of our way to get to I 15 heading down to I 70 if we have to backtrack to the north. If 189 is doable, it would shorten our trip a good deal. Thank you so much in advance.Re: Montrose or Glenwood Springs areaThank you all for your suggestions, we will check out the parks in Montrose and forget Glenwood, for the time being. Have long wanted to stay at Ridgeway, but unfortunately with so many folks traveling in RVs, I haven’t been able to find a site. That being said, I think you can only stay 2 weeks in a state park and we are thinking we’ll pick 3 places to stay long term next summer, most likely a month in each. There’s also a Sun Resort park in Granby that we would also like to visit. I forgot about it in my original post. Does anyone have any experience with it?Montrose or Glenwood Springs areaWe are looking at parks for 3-4 week stays for next summer. We are looking at Centennial Park south of Montrose, Colorado and/or Glenwood Springs Canyon near Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Does anyone have any knowledge of these parks? If so could you tell me why you would or wouldn’t choose to spend a few weeks in either. If you have a better suggestion in Colorado, please feel free to give me your opinion. We are looking for cool temps, good golf, fly fishing, hiking, medical, decent grocery shopping, and fun people. We have also looked at Montana, Idaho, Oregon, and Utah. We would love to hear any suggestions you might have thee as well. Thank you so much for your help.Lolo to Walla Walla, WAHello, and thank you in advance for your help/advice. We will be traveling from Lolo to Walla Walla then to Lake Wallowa in Oregon in mid July. It has been some years since we went from Pullman, Wa to Lewiston, Id. I recall that there was a huge drop off Hwy 195 down into Lewiston and thinking, “I would hate to make that pull out of this valley, going the opposite direction..”. We now find ourselves with that exact dilemma. We will be coming across 12 from Lolo. Mt and will continue on to Walla Walla. Will we face that same steep pull up to Clarkston, Wa. from Lewiston Id. I am assuming that we will, just want to be sure. Otherwise we will have to take a much more roundabout route using I 90 to Colfax then across 26 to 127 to 12 to Walla Walla. Thank you again, we are pulling a 24,000 lb fiver , hence my concern. Thanks again for any help.Lolo Pass area CampgroundsCould anyone recommend a full service park along Hwy.12 in Idaho. We need water and electric, sewer would be nice but can hold. We need good maneuverability room as our fiver has three axles. Thanks so much for your help.Battery: AGM vs. Flooded CellOur 5er, 2016 Continental Coach, currently has 4 6v Interstate “Maximum” Deep Cycle Batteries. I am planning to replace them, and am considering the GC2 Trojan T-105 w T-2 Technology (flooded cell), and the GC2 Trojan T-105 AGM w C-Max Technology (sealed maintenance free). The obvious differences are ; maintenance free, and the higher cost for the AGM. Has anyone had experience with either or both of these batteries in terms of performance quality on a daily basis, and over time? If yes, is the higher price for the AGM version a good value vs.the (maintenance intensive) flooded cell option?
