Price was reasonable ($10) and I never felt rushed. I recommend getting one of those collapsing garden hoses 50' long if you need to get the hose into the RV to rinse the black tank. They are soft and dont scratch anything and collapse into a walmart plastic bag for storage.Re: Batteries Not ChargingI think your batteries are being charged based on your description. When off shore power you get a reading of 11.4v and on shore power you get 12.2v. You might want to try turning EVERYTHING off and see if your voltage goes up. Try this when plugged in and when disconnected. The batteries could be defective and loading down your charger or the charger portion of your converter may be defective.Re: Group 45 deep cycle batteryI think a Gp 22 will fit and is a common deep cycle AGM for wheelchairs. But I have to say both the 45 and 22 are small for a house battery, maybe 55 amp hrs or so.Re: Newbie - Sewer hose recommendation?I like the Rhino from Walmart too. It collapses nicely and the caps are a big plus and the whole thing fits neatly in my bumper.Re: Zirk fittingsI have a Chevy 3500 chassis and there was no mention of grease points in the owners manual, but I happen to take the RV into a Walmart one day in the middle of a long trip to get the oil changed and the tech said he got all 13 grease fittings. I asked what grease fittings, he showed me a diagram that they print out when they punch in your vin for the oil, filter, lube service that showed all the zerks. Big surprise to me because I have not seen any vehicle since my 95 F150 that had lube points.Re: Your Tales Please Automatic Awning vs ManualI think it depends on the type of manual. I had one on a small TT that had to have locks unlocked and a long pole with a hook to pull out a ratcheting spring loaded roller, then the arms had to be locked and if you wanted to get the poles out of your way you unhooked the feet from the TT and set them out at the end of the awning and if you were smart you staked them there. The electric is far better than that one was but I have seen one that had a crank that took the place of the electric motor and you just spin the crank handle until the awning was out and you are done. That model would be fine with me.Re: Class C without boondocking amenitiesSince you are looking for a used RV and if you are willing to get something other than a Winni I would suggest you search Craigs list for a mobile medical RV. Many states, counties and private Medical organizations get these special ordered without the beds, refrigerator and stoves. They usually are set up with a waiting room, exam room, bathroom. You could turn the exam room into a bedroom easily. The rest of the RV is an office with a bathroom. I have seen them very cheap, <15k for a 5 year old unit with less than 30K miles. I think they still have the generator and propane for hot water but may be just what you are looking for.Re: Replacing front overhang window in 2009 Class CI have never pulled a window in an RV but I have done some extensive repair on old wooden boats year ago. I would cut the caulk around the window with a razor and remove it being very careful to not damage the frame. Inspect the plywood inside the frame area and if you have an inspection camera you could thread it down between the inside and outside wall to look for mold or rot. If you dont have one pick one up on Amozon that connects to your laptop USB port for $15-$20. If you have a sheltered place leave a fan blowing in the cavity to dry it out. If you see rot down inside take it to a pro. If you just have some bad wood near the frame get a product called Git-Rot. You inject it into the wood and it hardens stronger than the original wood and is impervious to water. Of course reinstalling the original window is the easiest option but you could have a fibreglass man patch the hole but expect a bill in the thousands for color matching gel coat and forming the fibreglass to look seamless.Re: Dash Air Bag light stays on! Ford E450 2015Does yours have the key switch to turn off the passenger side airbag. I had a bodyshop do some work on my Ford car and afterward the airbag light was on. They had to have a Ford tech come from the dealer to program something in the ECU. Just saw your last post, I would think they could make you an appointment. The tech that did mine ran over from the dealership and had it done in under an hour.Re: What do you do before a trip?Good advise above, I will just throw one more thing in. Start it up and take it for a drive as soon as possible. Even if you only go to a Walmart but make it one that is 20 or 30 miles away. If there are any problems from sitting you need to find out about them before the day you leave. Most likely everything will be fine but nothing ruins a trip faster than an overheated engine 30 miles from home or a check engine light that came out of nowhere.
