I have a job to do this week and I'm taking the camper so I'll see how it goes just running the heat on low. Thanks for the input!prevent fresh water from freezingI occationally use my truck camper in the winter for skiing or going to overnight job sites. I don't run the heater all day, so put rock salt in my grey and black water tanks. My question is what can I use for the fresh water. I don't drink my fresh water but I wash dishes and shower with it. RV antifreeze cannot really be diluted and still work can it? One suggestion my dad had was use vodka! Put that in the fresh tank with water. Crazy but might work.Re: How fast do you travel loaded?I have done 78 but it didn't feel very comfortable. 65 is pretty good in wyoming. Interstates in the west are easier than the east in my opinion. My Northern Lite is a little rear heavy which makes my truck handle worse than normal. I'm working on some front end issues that the previous owner of the truck created when he lifted the truck. Just mentioning that for others who may have lifted trucks.Re: Have you replaced your old Northern Lite Accordion Steps?I have replaced mine with torklift glowstep. My truck is really high so I had to get the longest set they have. I weigh about 235 lbs and they hold me. After having them a year or so they have started to do that weird angle thing where the top step is flat, and the bottom ones are tilted a little. I was hoping that wouldn't happen for a few years. I'm not 100 percent happy with them.
