Both the 995 and 975 are heavier than most people are lead to believe. With my dually the only upgrade I made was to install the Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar. Both the truck and the camper have a perfect marriage together. Our travels are stress free and I feel in total control in all driving conditions. On another note, the cabinet latches on the Lance are not a great design. In order to keep them functioning correctly you must press the door latch prior to opening and closing them. If you pull or slam them they will bend the latch catch on the frame. Once you figure this out and readjust them they function fine.Re: Anyone install shocks on their trailer??I installed the Joy Rider kit (now called something else) this summer. I did the work myself and included numerous other suspension work and maintenance at the same time. To me; this upgrade was very important because our roads keep getting worse. You will help prolong the life of your trailer and tow vehicle by installing shocks. The Joy Rider is an engineered system that buys your shocks at there best operating angle. Just fyi, BryanRe: Fabex pin boxI think Morryde sells some Fabex pin boxes. I just ordered a Fabex 770 I installed it last month. Just fyiRe: Problem with B&W HitchI have a B&W Companion hitch on a 2018 RAM 3500 DRW that has the factory air bag. When I first started using the new setup the factory air bags would raise the truck as the 5th wheel landing gear took the pin weight off. This made it difficult to release the hitch from the camper. I now leave the driverside door open and the factory air bags no longer fight me in my disconnecting process. I do love those factory air bags, This is just fyi in case someone has a similar issue.Re: Replacement slide motor for Lifestyle dining room slideHave you tried going to the Carriage Lifestyle web forum? It is a valuable resource for Carriage and Lifestyle owners. Just an option.Disk Brakes and suspension maintenanceWell this years 5TH wheel maintenance called for the wet bolt shackle upgrade and a disk brake conversion. First test drive with the new suspension upgrades provided a WOW factor! It took a little convincing to win the wife over on spending the money on these items but after our ride she was "all in". The only one who didn't like it was our dog when he was launched into the front seat on the first brake tap. The money spent didn't make it any prettier, shiny, or more sleek but it sure does allow a more relaxing feeling of safety and security in our equipment. The disk brake job was done at my residence by Performance Trailer Braking (Highly recommend).Re: B&W Companion vs Andersen Ultimate Showdown!Just received my new B&W Companion hitch today via UPS. This upgrade is due to me getting a new truck with factory PUCK system. I haven't towed with it yet but have to say the B&W does convey total confidence and peace of mind due to its quality and heavy construction. AUH was never even a contender in my mind.Re: Liquid Roof EPDM CoatingsMy 2001 Sunnybrook had a EDPM roof that I redid a few years back using this product. My roof required the primer coat prior to applying the main coating. Do some research and prep and prepare the roof surface and it will do well. Good luck it's not to bad a job if your prepared and planned out the day you start.Re: Can somebody recommend a really comfortable camp chair?Anyone not provided by my employer is a good chairanyone know what style springs shackle this is?I am trying to do some off-season maintenance. I have 7K Dexter Axles and wanted to do wet bolts and maybe even a Mor/Ryde 4000 suspension upgrade. I took a picture of my current set up. What is this and can I upgrade? Thanks
