My generator gets its fuel from the RVs gas and the system stops it from starting when my RV fuel tank is below 1/4 full. Other usual problem is enough fuel in the system. You have to prime the heaven out of small generators some times to get them to start. Boy, did that take a long time to figure out.Re: Questions about digital thermostatI have both - digital in my 2004 Bigfoot Class C and analog, slider thermostat in my new NL cabover camper. I MUCH prefer the digital and am going to upgrade the analog in the NL to digital. I've never found that the digital cycles too much, but do find that the analog does a lousy of job of keeping a consistent temperature. I consider the thermostat the weakest component of the otherwise exceptional Northern Lite design. I have insulated coaches, so that helps consistency. If you're in a non-insulated coach, temperature is going to be harder to maintain for either type of thermostat. BillRe: Replacing Flooring on BigfootMy Bigfoot floor is fine, but I had B&B RV Service in Auburn (Northern Ca) replace the floor on my BBQ trailer and they did a WONDERFUL job. put in one piece instead of tiles... BillRe: What's the purpose of this for a truck camper? If they are different sizes, then one's a Class V connector (2 5/8) and the other is Class III (2"). If they're the same, then like the others have said, either he doesn't like drop hitches or just wanted something like bike rack (or motorcycle) to be lower as those have ramps that need to reach the ground, have the proper angle for loading/unloading to clear the middle of the bike frame, etc. I'm assuming that the lower one isn't properly mounted to the frame and can't handle much weight! JMHO! BillRe: Keep plugged in or disconnect battery when parkedOnly keep plugged in IF you have a battery "tender" that will stop charging and watch for a drop that is enough to have to recharge. My experience is that with older charging units, they'll keep charging and dry-out / destroy your batteries. I also use the "disconnect" switch to stop those tiny drains that will discharge your battery over time. JMHO!Re: Where have all the Northern Lites gone?I subscribe to their Facebook page and they're regularly shipping out new builds! BillRe: MY BIGFOOTNice! We love and regularly use our 2004 Bigfoot Class C. Inside, it looks new! Outside, the weathering has been minimal in spite of my neglect to wax it! :) BillRe: Tire pressure carrying northern-liteI run 80/80 in my F-350 Dually with the additional towing package. I don't expect it to be a soft ride. I go by specs, load, handling, and wear. So, far, everything is doing just fine with those pressures. BillRe: RVshare mention bank denied loan - any recourseCall back and just tell them the truth - you considered it but decided against it (if you, indeed, did decide against). Be nice, but disappointed that this information got inaccurately passed on. You'd probably be best going over in person to have this discussion. JMHO - always and honestly tell the truth!Re: coiling methods for 30 amp cord and fresh water hosesdon't know if you're still looking, but this came in email ad this morning. http://www.campingworld.com/browse/skus/index.cfm?skunum=96153&email=BILLVAU@YAHOO.COM&affiliateid=6416&rewrote&utm_source=exacttarget&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=6416
