Asking about “triple up” towing (as it’s known hereabouts). Yesterday I was on I80, running behind a triple rig. BIG 5er, towing what looked like a 20-22’ inboard boat. Looked very nice and stable in the passing lane doing the 75 mph speed limit. We see them all the time, locally, but sorry not my preference. This really is the only reasonable solution for my situation. She doesn't handle fuel fumes well(so no toyhauler), and I need to take the bikes. Really is stable at speed. Also more importantly, it stops great from speed. As for not your preference...that's why they make more than one style of RV. I've had them all. CheersRe: Your Rig All set ready for the maiden voyage to the Black Hills, in SD. Just shy of 63' total length. with new wheels and tires on trailer. Pulled like a dream. camp site vid.Re: Your RigIt really is in great shape. Bought from original owner. This will complete the line of RV/camping units...From Truck campers, Travel trailers, Tents, Motorhomes (Both A and C's) I think I might finally have found what I'm looking for. Going to take it out for a quick trip in less than 3 weeks. Pulling a small trailer for motorcycles also. Think this sits too low? Looks like I can adjust the height of the springs without flipping the position of axle to bottom of spring. Pulled well on the way home though.Re: Your Righeres a photo of the 5'er I am picking up tomorrow. I can update it with a hooked up photo in a day or two. First 5'er. 2003 Jayco 28'. Re: Photo Thread - Post a Photo of Your Truck Camper Here got another camper last night for yet another rig. Had to modify it to fit better (cut the skirts off at the rear today) Re: Photo Thread - Post a Photo of Your Truck Camper Here just returned from the first outing with the rig. 3700 miles-- overall it was decent. no real complaints in the Camper...the truck is undergeared though. 3.55s and a 3 spd auto even with a 460 doesnt cut it up anything resembling a grade. Here I'm parked at my sisters place in sunny North Dakota...who knew it would snow in mid April. now off to the search feature...
