I suppose I can air down until the tmps light shows up and then up it enough to shut it off. Thanks.Re: Motorcraft 10W30, 5W40, Rotella or Mobil 1 for 6.72011 F350 6.7. 10W 30 Motorcraft is listed oil for 20*-100*, 5W 40 for towing 1000 miles or severe duty-also Motorcraft. I went with the 5W 40 for this first change. Next up is coolant flush, differential fluid and front wheel bearing repack, then fuel filters, air filter (maybe), trans filter and a possible serpentine kit with tensioner and idler changed along with new belt.Motorcraft 10W30, 5W40, Rotella or Mobil 1 for 6.7Just curious about what oil to put into my Powerstroke. Book calls for 5W40 (full synthetic) for towing 1000 miles. Local Ford dealer uses 10W30 as standard oil change oil. There are other diesel oils out there that meet the standards and are cheaper than Motorcraft. What say you? Thanks.Re: 2011 F350 Super Crew 4x2 unloaded ride qualityHave the truck now. Door sticker says 60 psi in the front and 80 in the back. Tire shop that swapped my tires onto the new truck did 55 and 70. On smooth pavement it rides pretty well, only a little worse than my max trailer tow F150. On rough pavement it skitters and jitters around and makes me slow down some. I'll have to reserve judgement until I get my topper back on. Front axle #5000, rear #6730.2011 F350 95k miles, 6.7 Supecrew, single axleLimited service history, so planning on changing engine oil and filter, fuel filters, serpentine belt and maybe the air filter. 90k service recommends coolant flush, change trans oil and filter and change rear differential fluid. Local knowledge suggests leaving the transmission and differential alone as long as no leaks. Ten year old truck-long time for fluids...…. What about hoses and other soft stuff?Re: 2011 F350 Super Crew 4x2 unloaded ride qualityGood point. I looked at the tires on my F150 and it said about the same thing: max load pressure was 80, but the truck didn't say that-only 35 front and rear. I haven't seen the 350 yet to compare. Thanks.Re: 2011 F350 Super Crew 4x2 unloaded ride qualityThe guys at the local tire shop mentioned the unloaded ride to me and told me that many of the owners of heavy trucks do lower the tire pressures to help with the ride. However the penalty for that is abnormal tire wear from under inflation.2011 F350 Super Crew 4x2 unloaded ride qualityWhile I will mostly be towing with this vehicle, after we arrive at our campsite for the day or week, it will be our drive around vehicle. It will have a topper. At the rated pressure for the tires being around 85 psi., is it going to ride like a wheat truck and if so, what else can I do, beyond carrying a couple dozen concrete blocks?CP4 bypass kitHas Ford ever addressed the HPFP fail in later model (2012-2017) trucks? How common is the bypass kit-do lots of folks go this route?Re: Auxiliary fuel tank? What about just getting a salvage 36 gallon tank from a wrecked 4x4?
