i bought new brake assembly for my axle in place of just replacing the shoes both wires coming out of the new assembly are black does these wires hook up postive or negitive or does it matter which wire goes where

its a 2002 model and i did buy it new it has manual adjusting brakes several years since i have checked them as we only camp 1 time a year for a month at a time and its only about 250 mile round trip

i have about 10k miles towing on my 33 ft tt thought i would check the brakes and pulled drum of to my surprise i only one wheel had any brake lining left i was stopping with only 1 wheel brake do brake shoes not last that long on a tt 80% of travel is on interstate so i dont use them that much they have never been overheated or never notice them dragging or running hot when on road is this normal

i think i have to much lift and i am at the end of the link so i am going to get some with a couple of links longer to see if that makes a difference
