Just checked their web site and they still have the older model as being the only one available. Bet there is a lot of the old stock out there and who will want to buy yesterdays engineering when a better, beefier upgrade is available. I agree and having a manufacture use their customers as their R and D is not going sit well. I believe its a good idea that was released to soon.Re: RAM passes FORD in HD sales. As of 2005, Aisin AW surpassed General Motors Powertrain Division as the largest producer of automatic transmissions in the world, producing 4.9 million units, with a market share of 16.4% of the global market for automatics. Toyota Motor Corporation and Aisin Seiki are the two major shareholders of Aisin AW, with 51.9% and 42% respectively.Re: RAM passes FORD in HD sales. gmcsmoke wrote: here you go: http://digital.truckinginfo.com/Jan2016#&pageSet=13 I guarantee that's dually's and up, add in 2500's and those numbers would be a lot different. Thanks.Re: RAM passes FORD in HD sales.Well I looked under truckinginfo.com and I could not find that article that put Ram in front of Ford and GM in 250,2500/350,3500 class trucks. last I saw was GM was pushing past Ford and Ram was a distance third. I like all three trucks and I would like to see that article.Re: Hey Lucy- 'splain sumthin to me!Gaslighting or gas-lighting is a form of mental abuse in which information is twisted or spun, selectively omitted to favor the abuser, or false information is presented with the intent of making victims doubt their own memory, perception, and sanity. Kind of like the media.Re: Towing capacity guide? MFL wrote: NC Hauler wrote: rhagfo wrote: donn0128 wrote: At over 16,000 GVWR your best choice is a 3500 dually. Brand? Your choice! X2! We agree, this rig would be pushing any 350/3500 SRW, best to get a DRW. Agree with going with a Dually, especially if he is going to buy a used truck that is 2012 or older. NC Hauler brings up a good point! Only a late model SRW should even be considered. Otherwise dually will be needed, and likely best choice anyway. Jerry I'm going with these guys, once I moved to a 16000lb Mobile Suite I stepped up to a dually. Its only $1500 more on a new truck and $500 on a used truck, and what you get is well worth it.Re: Finally got weights from CAT scaleHere are the facts, the F250/350 SRW has the same Sterling 10.5 full floating rear axle, and it’s rated at 9700 lb.’s from the factory (which Ford owns). Ford de-rates it because of warranty, license and tire reasons. So what does this mean, the axle is not the weak part of the truck the tires are, do not over load the tires, look on the sidewall and don’t go over the tire rating. As a side bar, you will find that American tire manufactures are lowering their E rated tire rating, and that’s probably why trailer manufactures are going to China tires, they haven’t change their ratings.Re: 5th wheel CCSilverback & Jayco Eagle Dayle1 wrote: This is just me, but I can't stand the cathedral roofs on the Silverback slide outs. Slide toppers are not an option. Having a sloped roof next to the main door makes little sense. Some owners report having to keep towels handy when retracting the slides if it is raining. Mopping things up around the bedroom slide out seems like it could be a big issue. Deal breaker for me. What doesn't make sense, is retracting any slide in when its raining and thinking the inside is not going get wet. And no you don't get wet at the main door, the water goes down the side like any other slide out. The good thing is it's self cleaning most debris slides right off.Re: 5th wheel CCSilverback & Jayco EagleI owned a 2014 Silverback 33RL and pulled it with a 2011 F250 and had no trouble. But my truck had a 3500 lb payload, it was 2WD SRW with a gas engine. You can have a F350 4WD SRW and a diesel and your payload will be less than what I had. Its all how your truck is outfitted. I do know that Jayco trailers are a little heavier so its all about weights. Check your payload on your truck and happy hunting.Re: Arctic Fox 27-5L power 30 amp or 50 amp service?I would just order the second bedroom AC from the factory now. Then you would have the 50 amp service.
