And all 3 were poorly designed and fabbed and had issues much like yours However, their customer service is great. Heck I am even set up now in their system as a service provider for warranty.Re: Heading to outer banksDon't know your time frame and I imagine your headed to Rodanthe or Hatteras, but do plan for late afternoon travel down the banks. Traffic is a bit rough from 8am to 4pm.Re: Heading to outer banks justaboutretired wrote: Ok thanks for the replies. Is there a spot/place heading south to pull into to turn off the propane? After bridge set your destination for Walmart in Edinburg, Chesapeake to turn your gas on. Also do your shopping there to avoid OBX traffic. Only about 20 min after bridge, on 168 S Also when you get off bridge stay in center lane of travel. The I64 E and W are the same ramp. The East...that you want will be the left lane of the exit ramp, West will be the right lane. Make sure your in the left lane of that exit ramp.Re: When does a TH become too big?? Ok so you did buy a Sundowner, I guess I missed that over the last few months on iRV2. So did you feel the build quality was worth the price? To get what I want I'm guessing a special order if I stay set on a Sundowner. I will reach out to Mike at Ocala as I have looked at their website a few times. Yep...i bought 1. Bought in November sold in May. Build quality is there, its built for hauling unlike a camper that barely holds its own weight. Its a car hauler/horse trailer 1st...if you catch my drift. The axels are further back than a traditional camper where the axels are more centered. So the 34-35 your looking at is probably gonna back like a 38-40ft traditiona 5th wheel. My 42' was rediculous...which is why it went bye bye. The 1786 is pretty cramped. Mine was a 2286. Had to do over I would look at there open models for sure. They put the gen set ontop on many models, of course with any garage model you can have it speced to be in the garage area. Its all custom build so the possibility are limited by the wallet, imagination and engineering. That with any race/horse hauler builds.Re: When does a TH become too big??Look at Ocala Trailers. Call Mike and talk to him. The reason their website is so Spartan is these are 100% custom built. Lift and genset is no problem. However they dont have much for holding tank capacity. 35 gray 35 black, can add more gray. Some models can have up to 75 fresh...but most are 40-50. The one in my signature is gone. They work great for me. I have 5 of them.Re: Dutchmen Endurance 3556?I can answer some questions as I had a Dutchman Voltage Triton 2951. Pretty much same rig your looking at. Wall framing is all Alum welded, no wood. Frame is your typical Lippert poor weld poor engineering quality Mine got totalled at 1.5 yrs old. Bent frame and kingpin structure in the neck as well as all outriggers on frame clasped or folded. Hit a good hump in the road but was destined to fail regardless.Re: Bent & Cracked Frame 08 Attitude NorCal Traveler wrote: Thanks for all the info! No water damage thankfully. The seller was a little surprised when I pulled out a moisture meter. Wonder what kind of price im looking at for these repairs? Whether we sell it or keep it, I still have to get it repaired. My conscious wont allow me to drop a safety issue on another family. We love the trailer and even if we bought another lippert frame, we would probably be going the route of reinforcing everything anyways. To do it right, jack up and block, cut out suspension, build subframe and install new hangers repair frame crack with fish plates...probably $2-3k To slap a "Lippert" repair $500-1k.Re: Bent & Cracked Frame 08 AttitudeNeeds to be sub framed to repair correctly and permently.Re: Bumper pull toy hauler, adding a second A/C unit1st thing I would do is look inside the breaker panel for the spare wire
