Looks like an easy fix and bad check valve makes sense.new water pump - now water filling tank??Just put in a shurflow 4800. Now when I took up to city water, my tank fills and overflows and I get no water pressure. The pump works great, super quiet, and great flow when I'm not on city water. Yes, the valve is turned to normal and not tank fill. Any ideas?Re: Bicycle rack recommendationsSimple guy...I store two, inside on the bed (right over the hitch). They stay cleaner and dryer. Yes, you do have to keep them clean (or lay a blanket over the bed). Our bikes are pretty expensive so I don't leave them exposed to the elements, bugs and road dust. Glad kids are gone and we don't have to worry about where the extra 2 go. Usually took them apart and put them in the bed of the truck.Re: SRW 3500 2WD vs 4WD2003 Dodge diesel 3500 2-wheel drive. 12 years towing and 4-wheel would have been nice ONCE, backing up an incline with snow on the road. Made it but it was painfully scary. Less maintenance/things to go wrong IMHO.Re: Michelin or Yokahama? At 210K miles, just ordering my 4th set of Michelin LTX MS2's. 70K out of each set. Sidewalls do start microcracking around 50K or 3.5years but the mileage gets to my tread before it becomes a problem. Expect I could go 5 years or more before the micro-cracking became a big concern. Traction isn't great but I've taken it on some 4wd trails and the jeeps can't believe I've only got 2wd. Only been stuck once when the wife backed it up into the mud to pull out a boat.Re: Air bagsI put the airbags on to: 1) Level the truck a bit (run at 35psi) and 2)dampen the bounce going over things like freeway overpasses or RR tracks. Makes for a much smoother ride and the "chucking" went away completely.Re: Jackson WY to Provo, UTDid the 22 from Jackson to Driggs ID. First sign out of Jackson said 10% grade for 10 miles...they weren't kidding. Sorry to all the folks stuck behind me. Had to drop down to 2nd gear and crawl up at 25mph. Worst thing is there are NO pullouts the entire pass. Down the other side was the same thing 8-9% for 10 miles or so. Engine brake helped immensely but still had to hit the brakes a few times to keep it under 50/55.Re: Sticking Atwood landing gearPull the foot off the leg and see if any shaving fall out. Mine had been binding for a long time, same symptoms as yours. About a month ago, I was raising it off blocks under the frame and the whole drivers side dropped 4 inches. When I took the foot off, a bunch of shavings from the worm gear came out. Evidently something (bolt/washer/nut??) was stuck in there, eating away at the gear every time I used it. Ended up putting in a new leg and it works like a champ. Like others said, inspect the top gears under the cover. If they are chipped or worn, you can get a replacement kit from Venture Manufacturing or even cheaper on the internet (less than $60).Re: Faulty Landing GearPull the foot off the leg and see if any shaving fall out. We've ended up loving it. Down to the 30's, keeps the trailer comfortable (on campground electricity)! Hate using the furnace, the cycling on/off is annoying so, thumbs up for the fireplace. Probably wouldn't pay for one cause a small cheap electric heater would do the same thing for less weight/space.
