I chock the back of the rear set of tires (both sides), back up a tad more to add a bit of pressure to those back chocks and set the park brake (if by myself), then chock the front of the front tires. The cradling adds enough pressure (if you back up enough) that the suspension doesn't bounce at all and the side to side twisting around that center is eliminated. I do that first then I tighten my side to side DIY frame stabilizers (front and back). I learned to do this with my wide spaced axles that x-chock type products don't work well with, and aren't any more effective than the cradling effects. AndyRe: Honda EU2000i Throttle Control Motor Replacement!I'll have to check the gears on mine. Serial# starting EACT - ###### I bought it new last year but it encounters intermittent surging, and dying if it's under load. The jet is clean and the fuel is clean and fresh, and non-ethanoled fuel too.Re: Black Bear PassOther than one special event a year (don't know which one since I never went to it) that road is a one way road from the top down, so no, you can not drive to the top then back down. The road is a 2 way only from the bottom to the waterfall which is before those switchbacks. I've driven it a number of times with our 4 wheel drive club in the Wrangler we once had and also with our Cherokee. Even with these vehicles with highly modified suspensions, traction aids, and tight turning steering that trip down and through the switchbacks is no cake walk. Pictures never fully convey what it's really like once you're on some of these roads out here. Even if one has many years of experience offroading, those switchbacks will test your nerves. Some of those corners are off camber and can lift a tire through the turn. You try to do a multipoint turn to get around a corner and while you're mashing the brake pedal to the floor, the vehicle can continue to slide through a steep, loose corner. There's a reason so many people die trying to come down that road. AndyRe: TO BRIGHT- HOW TO DIMThe single layer piece of 20 weight/92 bright paper did absolutely perfect dimming our LEDs down to a comfortable level. Our fixtures are LED fixtures and not simply LED bulbs in regular fixtures. Not sure how much that might make a difference though.Re: TO BRIGHT- HOW TO DIMIf your standard bulbs get as hot as the incandescent bulbs did in my 5th wheel I wouldn't consider putting something like paper that close to them either GPG52! Good call not to take that chance with yours. I don't find the LEDs I have in my current travel trailer to be anywhere near too hot for paper lining though, so I'll give it a shot on some of them and leave the others full brightness. Maybe something to consider if you find the LED replacements you buy to still be a little too bright.Re: TO BRIGHT- HOW TO DIMFor cool LEDs that sounds like a great idea to try! I'll try lining the inside with a piece of paper.Re: TO BRIGHT- HOW TO DIMWe're looking for a solution to lights that are blindingly bright too. We have LED lights throughout our 2015 Jayco White Hawk and they are way brighter than the brightest incandescent lights we had in a 5th wheel. But unlike incand, I don't think we can switch to a bulb with only about 25% of the existing bulbs wattage/luminosity.Re: My Rv insurance cost went up 28% & I've had zero accidentsInsurance rates are going up in the past few years as more and more people refuse to put their cell phones down while actively driving too. The increasing cost of repairs combined with increases in the number of accidents is a large contributor of insurance rate hikes lately. Those two aren't just about you, it's about everyone else.
