Works just fine. Sure does go into high revs but she pulls hard and does the job. Most places we go have an 8-8 geny hour. so with my solar I dont need it during the day, but for dinner we can use the micro and let the genny run for a couple of hours if needed to tip top off the batts if needed. We do bring along some frozen prepared earlier meals for ease of camping. A few minutes in the micro makes a quick meal! One tip,, I run True Fuel 4 cycle so no ethanol at all!!Strange Dicor issueWell, we went out for a few days in a camp ground that has allot of Black Walnut trees. Very early one morning it sounded like a brick hit the roof of the trailer. Went out and didn't see anything abnormal, but noticed a few walnuts on the ground. These were no slouches, a little bigger than a golf ball and hard as He''! Just went a did some seal inspection (winter prep) and found a few small dents in my rubber roof in front of the fridge vent. I cleaned them off and found two of them had actually cut the roof membrane one was less than a 1/4 of n inch and the other had two small slits about a 1/8th of an inch. So,, having a tube of Dicor Lap sealant, I put a dab of sealant on the cuts and rubbed them in a small circle to cover the cuts. A few minutes later I noticed that the Dicor caused that area to swell and pucker. Actually wrinkling the membrane! WTF? Did the Dicor shrink as it dried? I do not see any additional tears or cuts but,,,,I am concerned now! What did it do to the surrounding rubber roof area? I went out and bought some Eternabond patch material and will check it again later in the week. Is this normal Dicor behavior?? I have used it on all of my seams not covered by Eternabond and it had No effect on the roof. I will post pictures when I go back to check roof.Re: Anyone lose a set of keys cross21114 wrote: OP here. Last time I do something to try to help someone out. Posting here was not the only thing I did. Guess I should have posted a book. Disappointing how many negative people there are. You could have spray painted in three foot letters on the ground where you found them and spent money on tv commercials and that STILL would have gotten you criticized on here! Thank you for doing SOMETHING!!Re: Xchocks questionI have used four plastic chock blocks, two on each side for years with out an issue. Headed into camp a few years ago I noticed something alongside the road,,,An X chock in the bushes. I use it on one side only cause I have no other choice, Works good can't complain. Might break down and actually buy another.Re: Animals in commercialsHave you seen that PETA wants Punxutawney Phil to be replaced with an animatronic robot. Geez,, its not like we BBQ him afterwards! Although,,,you gotta wonder what some apple wood and cattleman's sauce would taste like??:pRe: WIX oil filter for Onan genny?Baldwin makes quality filters. I have been using Baldwin filters for a very long time. Used to be a supplier near me and I could get them by the case. They have since moved and I have found them on Amazon. Don't get me wrong, WIX and Napa Gold are quality filters. Go with what you want,, but my suggestion is Baldwin.Re: What to use for caulking around windows?Do yourself a favor and check from the roof down to the widow. This fall I thought my kitchen window needed to be resealed, I found a small leak on the counter under the window. I pulled the window, resealed and thought I was good to go,,same leak again. Got on a ladder and found the roof lip seal had pulled up and thats where the water was coming from! Dug out the old sealant and cleaned with Acetone then resealed that lip seal,,no more window leak!Re: Pledge bucky wrote: In the early 70s we used Johnson liquid floor wax on auto vinyl tops. It was half the cost and just as good. For those who remember vinyl tops haha. I sure do remember that! Made them look great! Also remember that Transmission fluid was the "Tire Black" of that time! Also remember buying a white letter paint stick for the tires! :)Re: PledgeIts an old sprint car trick. Keeps the mud off the cars. Makes clean up a snap!Re: Adding outdoor lights to my RVsYou do realize that the campground light cops will blow their minds over these lights?? To think you want light on the side of your camper goes against all the rules of those that only camp in the dark!! I personally like 'em,, but seems other feel the need to shame us that are afraid of the boogyman!
