I understand that the slide needs to come out of the trailer but looks like a straight forward install. I have found one brand and am wondering if there are others and which system you prefer. Thanks in advance for any help. David Just in case you don't know, most scwintek issues stem from not holding the switch long enough after the slide motors stop. This extra couple of seconds will allow the motors to sync every time. Exactly! And don't let ANYONE operate the switch that doesn't know this.Re: schwintek slide issueI know what is said about opinions but here is mine anyway. It's my opinion that a 13' slide out is much too large and heavy to be installed as a Schwintek system. Large ones like this should be hydraulic.Re: You know it's slow when........I have noticed that this forum and others are "smaller" lately also. I believe at least part of it is all the brand and/or model specific FB pages that one can join. I belong to a couple of those groups and they seem to work better for me.Re: Disc brakesOn our previous 2012 Montana I installed Kodiak disc brakes myself buying the parts from trailer.com. Total cost in early 2017 was $1550.00 and included replacing all bearings with Timkens made in USA, Money was WELL spent and no special tools/skills were required. A friend had the same done by MorRyde and cost him $3500.00. Will probably do our current 2018 Montana soon the same way.Re: Towing difference between 37 and 42ft FWNot that much difference but you will need to watch that tail swing in tight spaces.Re: Suburban Electric Water heater newman fulltimer wrote: Junction box on the side on the inside your 110 wirenuts are loose Or the switch at the bottom hasa bad connection you move a wire itvreconbects it This is likely your problem.Re: Best Time to Trade In 5th Wheel MURPHY55347 wrote: The "best" time is never.
