I found Sam's did not have the 220AH in my area, they were under 200, can't remember exactly, maybe 190?? I went to a battery shop and was able to buy a 240AH battery (got 6 of them) with the same footprint as the 220 for not much more $$Re: What do you use to jack up your trailer?Buy the one Old-biscuit posted the link to. I welded up one like it years ago, made a few and sold them to fellow RV buds, but stopped as it was just too labor intensive for me. I like the one in the link, heavy and not welded. All RV's should be equipped with these, safety first...Re: Air CompressorI own a Viar 450, great quality compressor, thought I would save money and go the Harbor Freight route, it did not last long. I mounted mine under the truck by the running board and installed a 2.5 gallon tank with an air chuck by the running board. You must use a pressure switch with them. Being an impatient person, I bought a set of regulator gauges and a 5# CO2 tank, lightening fast and has an adequate air supply. All small compressors are a bit slow for me, especially if you are dealing with multiple tires. The Viair keeps a supply of air in the lines for my air horns. You just can't go wrong with a Viair, quality product.Re: 12V Electrical wiring - wire nuts vs crimp connectionsThe waterproof shrink solder butt connectors are the way to go; a soldered, waterproof shrink wrap you use with a heat gun. Sweet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d83XuNDnHLIRe: This came as a surpriseAny chance on painting the house in 3" stripes of the rainbow or any bright colors before you move out? Give the neighbors something to remember you by because they called the parking police...Re: RV Parks in Kansas City and St Louis recommendationsworlds of Fun Campground in Kansas City is close to the ballpark, nice modern campground. If you want to park free with no hookups, the Station Casino, not far from W.O.F. CG. While in K.C. Try some of our BBQ at Gates, or Arthur Bryants. If you like Chili, Dixons Chili.Re: Removing Electric Drain ValvesHi Mike, I would have a RV Tech take a look at your problem, It is strange they sent you the wrong switch twice. You could have a simple on-off switch installed, would be a LOT less trouble than switching over I would think. Good luck on it.Re: Fantastic Fan Circuit Board RepairYou might contact them and ask if they will replace it for you, they are a great company and might do that.Re: HELP! 12 volt Breaker in Travelmaster 1987Check the 'Key' that shuts down 12 volts to the unit. It is a master switch, usually red, turns on-off Don't know where it would be on your unit. Good luck, don't freeze on us :)Re: Electrical problem today is it friday yet? wrote: Is there any reason that a whole house surge protector, like this one from Home Depot, won't work? Like this one for instance. It will work fine, but if you do as RoyB says, it will save you $118 These units are sacrificial, if you encounter any of the spiking problems, it will need replaced.
