He was and is my hero! I love his courage and attitude.Re: Hell of a year for rodentsCamped at York Beach Maine last week. Hubby took the sewer hose out of the bumper and found out the mice had chewed holes in it! Luckily he salvaged about 4 feet and that was enough to reach the dump connection. Just ordered a new hose and these from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C5RB03W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Re: Advice needed! Best RV Park/ Campground near Mount RushmoreAnother shout out for the Rafter J. They have a nice pool and hot tub. They have both open and wooded sites. Our site was in the corner under some trees. They also had a pancake and sausage breakfast in the pavilion near the camp store that was very affordable and delicious!Re: Price check on a used Class C!We bought ours in January. It's a 2012 Tioga Montara with almost the same floor plan. 59K miles with new tires put on in 2016. New house batteries installed when we bought it and $50 credit for new hoses. We paid $31,000.Re: Cross Country RV Trip - Mass Grand Canyon etc.. and returnHi Scott, Hi my name is Donna, I'm pretty new here too. I'm in Ashburnham MA! We are planning almost the same trip - leaving on April 22nd and planning on traveling for 6-7 weeks total. We have a 24' Class C Tioga Montara. We'll be going to Joshua Tree CA for a week to visit my son and family. We'll probably drive from Arizona and then see the Utah parks on the way back before heading up to Grand Teton/Yellowstone. I'm hoping this isn't too much in 6/7 weeks, but I have no problem adding another week if needed! We are just going to stop wherever we find a place we like, spend 2 or three days in each spot and then move on to another spot. Planning on a week in Arizona and a week in Yellowstone. Hoping to get to Yellowstone early enough to beat the crowds! welcome to the forum and enjoy your trip! DonnaRe: Weather in YellowstoneI'm also interested in hearing about past experiences for weather in late May/early June. I'm planning to be there around the same time, but thinking maybe I should delay to the second week of June. We'll be traveling to Mt. Rushmore and SD Badlands when we leave Yellowstone.Re: Passport America, worth it or not? We are headed down that way in April and I just joined PA so I'm looking for good campgrounds for a cross country trip. Thanks, Donna Donna It was Pontchatrain Landing. With Passport it cost us something like $40 per night. It is a nice place. Thank you! I see that they have a shuttle from the campground to the French Quarter so this will be the perfect spot for us!!Re: Passport America, worth it or not?
