In 2012 Primetime was still relatively new so quality may have even been better than current units. Check for delam. I've seen a lot of Crusaders with delamination. If there are any Schwintek slides, double check that they work correctly.Re: 2018 SuperDuty DRW - 3.55 or 4.10 Gears?I picked the 3.55 in my 2017 DRW. Mainly because this is my daily driver and wanted as much MPG help as possible. My rig is around 16,000 lbs and this truck pulls it easily. Coming from a 2015 Duramax 3500 with 3.73 SRW, I'm actually shocked how much better it pulls. Completely effortless.Re: Owners experiences soughtAF is well built no doubt. But I still think they've cheapened up a bit in the last 10 years, but you can say that about all manufacturers. The OR has 3" thick walls and dual panes. Both of these brands (IMO) are significantly better than the 3rd. Now they don't make that 3X309 anymore so you'd have to find used or a new one that's been sitting on a dealer lot forever.Re: Trail Air Roto Flex noise? After posting this on a couple of other forums and seeing some responses I'm semi-convinced now that the noise is coming from the attachment of the B&W companion on the Ford OEM pucks.Trail Air Roto Flex noise?Ok, so the story is this... I just traded in for a different truck. When towing with new truck I noticed that when braking or accelerating the pin box is making an irritating noise - like a taping noise. I confirmed it was the pin by having my wife watch the hitch while I moved truck back and forth. She said it is flexing and the rubber is tapping the base. I have not checked the torque on those bolts and can't seem to located recommendation on what they should be torqued at. New truck is a dually and sits about an inch and half lower than old truck. I also added 1" taller tires to FW so the rig rides almost completely now, where before it rode pretty nose-high, but was dead silent. Do you think it's the bolt or is my rubber pad all of a sudden, completely shot? Thanks for the help.Re: Open Range 3x427BHS Owners?Well, I'm betting the sidewalls are better insulated than anything else in it's price range. 2 and 3/4 inch thick sidewalls. 3/4 inch insulation behind all wall studs as well which is very unique.Re: Contemplating the 2017 Platinum F350 4x4ord wrote: desiphil wrote: Just traded in a 2015 Chevy 3500 SRW on a 2017 F-350 DRW. It drives nice. Prior to buying my Ford I looked at the GM. I thought the GM drove nice. When I told the GM salesman what I could get a Ford Platinum for she said she honestly couldn't sell me a used GMC Denali For that price. You should have been able to trade straight across.:) Definitely not the case near Houston. I'm guessing a 2018 Denali is currently $6-10k cheaper than a 2017 Platinum. I found a couple for $62-64k - about the price of modestly equipped Lariat. I would of stuck with GM, but kids and mom really appreciated the bigger back seat area of the Ford.Re: Post your tow vehicle pics hereBlack should match the FW a bit better. Sliding version will run $2200 I'm guessing. Great quality hitch that is fully removable for a clean bed.
