I have both AAA and Coach.net, and have them throughout the years. If I had to chose only one it would be Coach.net.Re: Just Arrived Home after a Fantastic 7800 Mile TripGlad you had a safe and successful trip.Re: Salesmen...sheesh TomG2 wrote: I know that it is popular and easy to bash salespeople but do we insist that the kid down at the burger joint be a certified nutritionist? At some point, it is up to the buyer to know whether the food will make him fat or if his tow vehicle is capable of towing a particular trailer. Maybe, however someone new in the game may THINK that they can rely on that dealer's representative's experience, intregrity and expertise for advice.Re: to reserve or not to reserveI rarely make reservations. I never know where I'm going to be one day to the next. The exception would be destinations like Disney, big cities or National Parks in the busy season. Keeping to a fixed schedule kind of takes the free-wheeling fun out of it for me. I try to leave the schedules at home.Re: State of Emergency in Washington?Meanwhile, in Las Vegas, where Lake Mead is at an all time low, the developers continue to get permits for further sprawl and development.Re: Is solar the way to go?OMG, I was skeptical, but went with solar and lost the generator on my new rig. So far I'm very happy. No problem running a small microwave in a rest area, watched a movie in a Laughlin parking lot. Batteries recharge faster than I can use them. Generators are so last generation.Re: park and route Oregon to Carson CityTaken that route too many times to count, have stayed at all of those mentioned paces and never made a reservation. If you are a fan of hot springs (as I am) there is a nice bath/hot springs at Summer Lake, worthy of a stop. No parking issues at all there.Re: I5 south through PortlandNo, you did not miss signage. I pass through there frequently and I hate that juncture too. I know it's coming and it's still disconcerning.Re: Another WalMart shootingOne more thing....if you think these same people are not in legitimate campgrounds, you'd be wrong. I see them in public parks, county campgrounds, private parks and in the woods off of trails. I can't tell you how many meth labs there are in the woods and the teachers in some of the rural communities have a name for the children of these "RVers" it's "feral children". I just about dropped a jaw when I first heard that term. According to the teachers they come and go, totally unpredictable as to when they may show up. I don't mean to sound harsh, it's just the way it is. I'm not going to candy coat it and call it "homeless population" because plenty of these people are living this lifestyle out of choice. Sure there are legitimate homeless but that's a different topic.
