I was headed north on I39 in Northern Illinois Monday night between 9 and 10. Normally very light traffic that time of night, but it was quite heavy, with a lot of Wisconsin license plates. Then there was a long backup at the state line, caused by a combination of the heavier than usual traffic and construction right at the line that funneled 3 lines into one. I39/90 closures
One direction each on Interstate 39/90 in Wisconsin will be closed on one night next week. Northbound will be closed from exit 162 exit 147 from 11 pm on Monday night to 5 am on Tuesday, April 17-18. Southbound will be closed from exit 142 to exit 160 from 11pm Tuesday night to 5 am on Wednesdsy. The announcement says alternate routes will be required, but there are no good alternate routes.570Views0likes1Comment
