It's like whatever is supposed to tell the torque converter to lock up is not sending a constant signal making it shutter. The new torque converter is doing the exact same thing that the old one did. I guess it could be a sensor. The entire drive shaft was balanced and all joints replaced. The pinion angle was checked at re-installation. I had a similar issue with a 1984 S10 Blazer, we unplugged the converter lock and the problem went away. Back then there was only 12 month, 12000 miles of warranty and GM would not make it good. We drove it like that for about a year and traded it in on a new car, this was the first year of the S10 Blazer, it appeared to be built well with good fit and finish, but between the vibration issue and the multitude of rattles around the tailgate and rear window that also could not be corrected we elected to get rid of it. I would try to disconnect the lock circuit for the converter and see if that is the issue.Re: 1990 Terry Taurus with twin beds theoldwizard1 wrote: Anything that old will need a completely new roof ! Tear off the rubber membrane, inspect and replace rotted wood. Better check the floor for soft spots ! I had a 1988 Terry, it had a sheet aluminum roof. The only leaks I encountered were from the marker lights, I removed them, cleaned out the old putty, reinstalled them using plumbers putty and they never leaked again. These units are heavy, mine was a 29R and it was 6000 pounds loaded with everything but water.Re: 2002 Ford Diesel 7.4 ??I have one with over 250K. Planning to keep it forever. Still looks and rides like new, Always kept in climate controlled garage. Not as quiet and powerful as the new ones but does what I need.Re: A place for Full Timers near youHardeeville RV, Levy SC, just across the river from Savannah GA. Easy access to I75.Re: 1996 Pace Arrow A/C Question/HelpThe one on the left appears to be the low pressure switch. Unplug and jump the two with a paperclip, that will make the compressor start and the refrigerant will fill. Just because it is old does not mean it all needs replacement, I use a 1996 Explorer as my beater and it still has cold air at 300k miles.Re: Ford SuperDuty more bumpy + jittery empty, than when loaded? markowwes wrote: The more weight you put in that box the better the ride is going to get, you may want to check the tire pressure, I lower mine when i am empty to smoothen things out a bit too, aired up to max whithout a load will cause them to wear in the middle. Wes Same here, air down unloaded, my back likes it better too.Re: Hail Damage + Lance Aluminum roof replacement questionsTell the adjuster just what you said here, metal roof is structural. If it is not leaking I would probably take the money and leave the roof. I prefer aluminum over rubber anyway.Re: Hooking up to a wellJust call a well company to check well and install pressure tank and switches. No need to get anyone else involved, that is how it works here.
