So I'm replacing them with low profile scissors jacks. My question is where's the best place to mount the new jacks. If I mount them in the same spot they might get damaged also. Otherwise due to holding tank interference the farthest to the rear I can mount them is about halfway between the rear wheels and the bumper. They would be well protected there but I wonder if stability when walking in the trailer would be affected adversely. Anyone have any experience mounting jacks that far from the end of the trailer?
