Well Sunkatcher, so much for the integrity of ROD. I can't believe they did this to all of their members. MAYBE THEY FINALLY REALIZED THAT THE SAME RULES HAVE TO BE FOR EVERYONE. Each year they seem to take away more, pretty soon you will be paying them at every stay. I was a member of Mountain Lakes in Gunterville, AL and when it was sold became a sister park to all the Ocean Canyon properties. OC had the ROD rules changed to suit them and this mean't that those affiliated as sister parks DO NOT have the same rights into the parks as regular ROD members. As they bought up so many parks across the south they changed the ability yo use them. We used to be able to travel using all the parks 2 weeks at a time one after the other but that changed as for us we had to stay out a week between stays. The rules for us were different than the normal ROD rules. ALSO be aware their contract (OC) is a forever contract. Read the fine print, they even tried to force me to pay them when I advised them they could take their parks and stick them where the sun does not shine. FOR ME it did not work as my contract could be dissolved by non-payment of dues. Yes I am an unhappy camper when it comes to them so my advice is negative. I would suggest doing a bit of searching on the net and you will find plenty of others unhappy also. I may be a jerk but I feel people need to "LIVE UP" to the contracts signed. Changing the rules for their members (FOR ROD) is a form of discrimination as far as I am concerned.
