Can't wait to try it out this spring at the lake. Also having a set of TorkLift frame mounts and Firestone 5000 lb air bags installed. I will report back with how it works out. Then found a set of Laramie wheels and powder coated them. Then changed all the badges to the "blackout" edition truck.Re: 2018 RAM 2500 with Adventurer 910DB GeoBoy wrote: I still don’t understand why you wouldn’t look at a Northstar TC. It’s better suited to your truck, because of the height, width and weigh of them. I am not against Northwood campers, I own a AF990. I have looked at the Laredo SC and 8.5 adventurer models. They are nice, but not quite what I am looking for. And the dry weight is more or less the same as the Wolf Creek's.Re: 2018 RAM 2500 with Adventurer 910DBFor some perspective, here is our 2018 with our Jayco in the background at Flaming Gorge in WY. Re: 2018 RAM 2500 with Adventurer 910DBThanks all for the info. I am between a rock and a hard place. I have a few options it seems, getting rid of the 18 2500 just aint one of them. I custom ordered it and it's the last of it's kind, I'll be buried with it. Anyways, as I see it.... 1 - I can gamble on maxing out my GVWR with a wolf creek camper 2 - get another truck as a dedicated camper rig and then be able to get the Adventurer as originally planned 3 - just keep on trucking with my 2014 Jayco 198RD bumper pull Weighing the pro-cons of each.Re: 2018 RAM 2500 with Adventurer 910DB kirkl wrote: ive got ride rite 5000 bags on my 2017 ram 2500 and my old northland is probably about same weight as that wolfcreek (which i like those campers) and it does fine with that weight and the bags. Check out the 840's to. I like that layout of the 840 versus the 850. What we really like on the 850 is that fold down bunk/storage shelf over the dinette.Re: 2018 RAM 2500 with Adventurer 910DBJim I am not discounting the experience I appreciate all the input. I got a good vibe from Doug, he helped me quite a bit. He designed the 850. I do not think he was trying to steer me.Re: 2018 RAM 2500 with Adventurer 910DBThanks all for the replies. I have been in touch with Doug karr at northwood and he says the wolf creek 850 would not be a problem at all with a set of firestone 5000 pound air bags to help out. I am currently trying to find a long bed model wolf creek 850.Re: 2018 RAM 2500 with Adventurer 910DB MORSNOW wrote: I have a WC850 on my 2500 GMC, the fully loaded wet weight including all of our camping gear is 3,200lbs. Do you have air bags or any other upgrades to your truck?Re: 2018 RAM 2500 with Adventurer 910DBThanks for that Jaycocreek! Good read.
