If it is just yourself a regular cab is ok. But if dogs or a wife is involved with occupancy count definitely go crew cab.

This is my favorite model and if I had the truck for it I would have it. The mammoth is nice but this has a bigger couch. I do keep going back and forth though between this and a nice travel trailer for those longer stay trips.

They are ok. Worth it to make Te wife happy. When I move around it used to bother her. Now she likes it when I attach them after dismounting the camper.

I have a few layers of reflectex insulation under my bed. No mold but he wife changes the sheets every few days. When she does she disturbs the bed enough it must breath.

My 990 is on a 3500 saw with just sumo springs. Lots of miles with no issues. You will like the 990 but fill your water tank with a tube vent every time. My current trip is nearing five months and wouldn't change a thing.

Anything diesel 350 dually long bed 2011 or newer should be fine. All brands in my mind have plus or minus the features and issues all wash out the same. Mechanically I have heard all sorts of stuff about them all. A good inspection by a trusted mechanic and afterwards the upkeep will be key on a smooth and problem free ride. My next truck will be a dually but plane jane on the inside. Fords from what I hear with the cab height is you might need to lay down a piece of good quality foam board to increase the height of the sleep area over the cab.
