Re: 1964 GMC Open Road truck camper There isn't a question mark anywhere in the post, just a little information on what they have been researching. It does say "Thanks for reading" at the end, so I'll reply. You're welcome. 😉 Re: 1964 GMC Open Road truck camper I'm with you Grit_dog, it has to be a one and done spammer or someone in corporate GS trying to get a conversation going....and it kind of did. Re: 1964 GMC Open Road truck camper Wouldn't that be a Class C vs a truck camper as it is permanently connected together? It is in great shape on the exterior, I'll bet the inside is awesome too! Awesome find!!! Re: Site is extremely slow lately I try to visit this site each morning while drinking my morning coffee(s) and enjoying my regular list of forums and news outlets, there's not much going on this site anymore so when it won't load quickly or correctly, I just move on. The next day I'll see that there was only a post or two made so I figure everyone else was having an issue too. Re: Lost the old rig time to rebuild I always get better gas mileage (I have a gasser) when traveling through Canada to/from Alaska that I can't explain. The slower speed helps, but I've always wondered what is different in the gas, no ethanol maybe? Re: Lost the old rig time to rebuild Gas trucks are all I've ever needed for my truck campers, I'm not sure where the gotta have diesel even came from. Modern fuel injected gas trucks have more than enough horsepower and torque to carry any truck camper. I swear everything about a diesel costs more, they think even windshield wipers and the air in the tires deserve special jacked up prices. My 2012 GMC 2500 has been carrying my camper all over Alaska, western Canada, and the western US since 2013 and has never had a trip to the shop for a repair, just basic maintenance (tires, air filters, & oil changes). Re: Wildsam Seeks Good Sam RVers I was completely disappointed in Wildsam Magazine, it was like a destination travel magazine more than a camping magazine. There was never more than a page or two that even mentioned where to camp or what services were offered at Goodsam campgrounds or RV repair and maintenance. I don't know of anyone who still subscribes. Re: Boondocking app Dyrt is still spelled incorrectly (dryt) in the original post again. If these dang companies just learned how to spell! 🤣 Re: Camper Package on F-350 Besides what has already been mentioned I would add a camper electrical plug (same as a 5th wheel plug) to the front side of the box on the driver's side to make plugging in your camper more convenient.
