We pulled 40' fifth wheel toy-hauler up to Burgess Junction from Dayton and down to Greybull. I don't recall the down portion being that bad, but coming up from Dayton was quite the ride. Transmission heated up and we pulled over wherever possible going up, but we made it. We were going RZR riding too. Beautiful area. I want to go back.815Views0likes0CommentsRe: Yellowstone info
How early depends on the winter. We went latter half of June a few years ago, after a very snowy winter and rangers told us that roads in the area (not y-stone per se, but some USFS roads) had just opened because of all the snow lingering. We went for a boat ride on Jenny lake and were told it had been frozen over until early June. We camped in West Yellowstone and used the west entrance. There is no entrance convenient to all parts of Yellowstone, as you said, it's just so large.352Views0likes0CommentsRe: Having problems running AC from inverter.
The more expensive one is much quieter. An inverter generator doesn't have to run at 3600 rpm constantly to provide 60 hz electricity, but the other one (open frame or contractor generator) does no matter the load. Unless you are all by yourself on BLM land, your neighbors won't appreciate you running the cheaper one anywhere near them.670Views0likes0Comments
