My vote is to definitely take the motorhome. It may be a little more expensive but the experience will be worth it. Our trip out includes stops at Niagara Falls, Badlands NP, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Devils Tower, Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons. And when we start coming home we will are going to hit Dinosaur NP, Canyonlands NP, Arches NP, Mesa Verde, and Sand Dunes NP. Right now we are planning 4-5 weeks or so. There is so much to see. I can't imagine not camping when going cross country.Re: value of locking hitch pin?Not to mention you can find videos online showing how to pick just about all of them.Re: Prodigy P3 - No Trailer Connection - SOLVEDAfter my last post I decided to dig further tonight. Low & behold the problem was caused by a corroded ground at the 7-pin connector. I pulled it apart cleaned it off & wallah it is working perfectly. Thanks to everyone for offering advice.Re: Prodigy P3 - No Trailer Connection - SOLVEDI spoke with tech support today. They wanted me to check the ohm resistance at the controllers connector between the blue & black wires while the trailer is connected. I did this & the reading stays all the way to the left. I then checked the 7 o'clock & 5 o'clock connectors on the trailer plug & the reading went all the way to 0 ohms. I also checked the connections of the controller wiring harness to the truck wiring. All those connections are good. I'm at a loss as to where to go now.Prodigy P3 - No Trailer Connection - SOLVEDI've been using my P3 for 5 years now without issue. Before my last trip while on my way to work. I noticed the P3's display had gone completely green. Not knowing what else to do I unplugged it & after a couple tries the screen went back to normal. Everything seemed fine until we left the house & it went from fine one time. Then to flashing no trailer connection the next time the breaks were applied. I checked all the connections & it didn't happen again but I noticed something else. The controller was applying very little break. It would apply 2.3 when I have it set to 6.9. However when I apply it manually it works perfectly. I believe the controller is faulty. Anyone else have any ideas? ThanksRe: post pictures of your HTTThat is a beautiful Starcraft.
