That would cause the home breaker to trip if the total load on the breaker was exceeded. Plug your motor home into an outlet with nothing else drawing power from that circuit. Make sure to use a heavy-duty adapter and short heavy duty extension cord. Try to start the AC again. If it still trips the breaker, replace the capacitors with the original capacitors. See if the original problem returns. If it works, you may have wired the replacement capacitor incorrectly. When replacing capacitors, polarity marking must be observed, not the location of wires. Your air conditioner may have low voltage protection and turns off when voltage is to too low. In a camp ground, many people using air conditioners at the same time would causes the camp's AC power to drop. If the compressor still does not turn on, check voltage to the compressor. If no voltage, trace it back to where it loses voltage. If voltage is good, the compressor would be defective. Good luck with your trouble shooting.Re: Gen shuts off unless “Start” held downIt could be the carburetor fuel shut of valve is stuck in the off condition. Follow the wires to the carburetor and it should lead you to the valve. Disconnect the wires, unscrew the valve. Clean and lubricate it so the rod moves easily. -OR- replace it with a new one.Re: Onan generator shutting down after releasing start buttonI had a similar problem. The problem was the fuel shut off solenoid on the carb. It got stuck in the shut off position. Clean or replace it and it should be good again. Having a low RV fuel tank could be a problem too. The gen gets its gas from the RV tank. The pipe that the gen gets the fuel does not go to the bottom of the RV tank. This keeps the RV from running out of gas by the generator use. There should be enough gas left to get to a gas station.Re: Alternative to bumper sewer hose carrierI use a PVC black drain field pipe under my RV. I use hose clamps for mounting it in place. I use a long nut and bolt on each end to keep it in place. The nut and bolt on the entry end is easily unscrewed to allow removing and returning the drain hose. All the parts are available at Lowes, Home Depot and local hardware stores.Re: What is this? Attached to T. V.Your photo did not show on my screen. However, the item may be a 75 ohm cable to 300 ohm, two wire flat cable, transformer. They were very common in the older TV's. That was used to connect the cable from the RV antenna to the two wire antenna input of the TV. It could also be a digital to analog converter. Today's TV broadcasts are Digital, and your tube TV would be analog. Again it connected the RV antenna to the TV's audio/video or antenna input of your TV. Your RV antenna cable should fit straight into you new TV, with out that device. It could also be a cable that goes to your RV remote speakers. If it is, a converter/adapter may be needed to connect the RV remote speakers to your new TV.Re: Can someone help design a 5 volt circuitWhat I would fear is that the five volts out of the computer may have a delay time before the five volts are available. That would cause the safety switch not to de-energize when it needs to keep the starter from turning. Another question is, where and when does the computer get its power. The five volts may not be available when it is needed. Just having a box diagram for the computer does not tell what the computer is doing, and how it does it. It is not possible for anyone to answer your question with the information given.Re: Decal replacementMost local sign shops can reproduce logos and images and make a peal and stick vinal that they, or you can use to replace deteriorated ones on your RV.Re: Onan starts and diesMake sure the fuel cut off solenoid on the carb is working properly. It should allow fuel to flow when operating, and off when the engine is turned off. Check that the fuel pump in the RV gasoline tank is pumping gas to the generator.Re: A new adventure for me.Putting cardboard over the windows help keep the cold out.Re: Replacement Shower HeadI have found the stop flow hand held shower kit at medical supply stores.
