I hope you bought your rim from Etrailer as they seem very good about correcting problems. If you bought it somewhee else, I would give them a call. They are the wheels that came on the trailer, so GulfStream is the one I am dealing with. Have not heard anything back yet, but I just emailed them late this afternoon. I just have a hard time believing cracks in the smooth part of the rim is a regular occurance, since that would indicate the rim is either too weak or when it was stamped, the steel got too thin in spots. I was willing to let the one slide, as that would be a fluke. Now that another has done the exact same thing, I really don't trust these wheels. Both times, they have gone flat overnight after we had arrived at the campground, so no tire failure and no damage has occurred to this point, but I am starting to wonder how long that luck is going to hold out.Dexstar Steel Wheels CrackingI had a 15" 6 Lug Dexstar wheel crack last year in the face of the rim and leak air out through the side of the wheel. No visible damage and not a single scratch in the wheel. I thought this was a fluke and just bought another one. I just had another one do the same thing. It leaks through the side of the rim about two inches from the bead. The only cause can be a faulty steel thickness or really poor steel quality. Has anyone ever had this happen or am I the only "lucky" one?Re: The Official unofficial CPE 2000i Generator ThreadI would like to add that so far, CPE has been more than fair with me. I have had two 2000i's for about 17 months (Warranty is only 1 year parts and labor, 2 years parts only). They have never really run my 13.5k AC consistently. They would run it for awhile, but then the next time I tried it, they would trip. I added a hard start cap, but that only helped a little bit and they still fail occasionally. I use them at the cabin and they work flawlessly there, so I wasn't that worked up about the issue. (9-10 hours of quiet run time with the lights and TV going is nice) Well, I finally got around to calling them and wanted to find out if they could swap out my modules with the updated ones. They not only are going to swap out the modules, but are also going to put an upgraded stator on each of them as well. In addition, they paid for shipping from WI to CA and back. They also had me include the parallel kit in the shipment so they could make sure that was up to snuff. I will update this once I get them back and let everyone know how it works after the upgrades.Re: The Official unofficial CPE 2000i Generator ThreadHas anyone figured out a way to add a larger/extended fuel tank to these? Just curious if this has been done yet or not. I tried to search, but nothing came up.Re: The Official unofficial CPE 2000i Generator ThreadI found these at the Sam's Club in Green Bay. Still $499.00 Their website is useless for finding these things and the only way to be sure if they have them is to stop at your local Sam's and look for yourself. I bought two of the 4 they had. I added oil and gas to them and they fired right up. Three pulls on the first one and two on the second one. I let them run for about and hour with a 1500w heater plugged into one and two 500w halogen lights plugged into the other. They never missed a beat. A slight burp every once in a while, but every inverter generator I have been around did that every once in a while. They are not as quiet as the Honda EU3000i that I have experience with, but way quieter than the Honda, Generac, and Sportsman conventional generators I have been around. A nice happy medium. For the price, they purr:p I will not get to really check them out until I head up to the cabin in a few weeks. They will get a pretty good workout up there and should get 20 hours or so run time that weekend. It is still too cold for the wife and kids to go camping yet, so that will be another month or better. Can't wait for summer when I can try out the AC on them:) So far so good.
