All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Thetford "Aqua Magic Style Plus" - won't do water only-fixedI had the same issue last year. The rod wasn't sliding as designed, causing the flush valve to open as soon as the pedal was depressed at all. I pulled the toilet and replaced the water control valve that was catching the rod. Simply lubricating it may have solved the problem but since I had the part, I changed it and cleaned and lubricated the old one for a spare. While I had it out, I replaced the flush ball seal at the same time. While the part description didn't say so, it was packaged with a new floor seal, so you may not need to order that separately. Got the part on Amazon for about $20. Not as bad of a job as I had imagined.Re: State income tax for each state for full time employee? The issue your employer is referring to is nexus or their legal connection to a state. Most states say that if a a company has employees in their state, the employer is required to file an income tax return in that state and allocate income to that state using either 1 factor or 3 factor method, depending on the state. If you move to ID, it will result in additional tax filing requirements for them. Unless you are a very valuable employee, this may not have a happy ending for your employment status. This information is based on 36 years as a CPA working in the tax field.Re: 2008 Tiffin - Cummins 300 Is it a 6.7 or 5.9I don't know if it is the same engine that is used in pick-up trucks. I know that when we were looking, I got the VIN from the motorhome we were interested in and called Freightliner. They were able to give me a great deal of information on the chassis and also the engine, including the engine serial number, model, HP, etc. I then called Cummins with the engine serial number and they were able to give me engine specific information. That is how I discovered the color difference between the 5.9 and the 6.7 We have been very pleased with our Tiffin FRED. While you give up the air bag suspension and the air brakes, you have the advantages of a diesel, including torque and the exhaust brake. There is a Bosch brake recall on the FRED chassis that may or may not have been taken care of on the coach you are looking at. The FRED chassis uses a Bosch hydraulic brake system rather than air brakes found on most diesel pushers. The recall involves replacing the entire brake caliper assembly. In our case, they also replaced the pads. If is essentially the same recall that applied to the Workhorse chassis a couple of years ago.Re: 2008 Tiffin - Cummins 300 Is it a 6.7 or 5.9I also have a 2008 Tiffin Fred (38QDB). Some of the marketing material from Tiffin incorrectly lists the 300hp, 5.9L Cummins as the power for the Fred in 2008. Unless yours was built on an older chassis, it probably has the 340hp, 6.7L Cummins. There is a very easy way to confirm the engine installed in the coach in question. Simply look at the color of the engine. If it is black, it is the 300hp, 5.9L engine. If it is red, it is the 340hp, 6.7L engine. I confirmed this in a discussion with Cummins when I kept getting conflicting information between the Tiffin marketing material and the seller's representation about the engine. If the insulation on the engine cover area hasn't already been upgraded, it will make a big difference in sound and heat. Marty
