Haven't pulled through the mountains, but have had NO issues anywhere else. Morrow_d wrote: Anyone of you pulling the 31BHPR trailer with a 1/2 truck? I looked at the possible numbers on the F-150 with either the V8 or Ecoboost with Max tow, and I would have about 1700# payload capacity if I don't take too much extra fancy gadget, which I don't really plan on doing and 9500#ish tow. This is for an FX-4 with Max tow only. If I put the HD payload, I get to I assume around 2100 ish when calculating options (2300 on brochure for max payload vs 1900ish on brochure for max tow) So my calculations are as follow: Trailer + WD height weight = around 1100#. That leaves me with 600# (225+120+50+30 family weight right now = 420) let's say they grow up to be 125 pounds each in the next 10 years... ;) that brings me to roughly 1700#. I don't expect to have much in the truck, as I rented a F-250 this year to travel and we didn't have much in the truck. So, I might be a bit tight with the Max Tow, but I would definately be of as per the ratings with the Max Payload. I know it'll be a bit rougher than with the F-250, but I'm usually pulling 1 or twice a year for about 600 miles total. So if I can save on the truck a little while still being under the rating, I would go with the F-150. And it seems like I would be able to, but for some reason I'm not convinced... I don't plan to change my 31BHPR for anything bigger (obviously) for the next 10 years, so Fifth-wheel is not necessairly something to take into consideration. so basically, if some people here pulls their 31BHPR with an F-150 builded to pull and have no issue, it think it would really clear my mind.... ;) Thanks! Morrow Re: Keystone Bullet PremierThe only time our GFI has tripped was when the wife had a night light in the bathroom; it would trip at strange times. We replaced that and haven't had an issue as of late. Good luck. Morrow_d wrote: Hey, Been camping for 2 week-ends with my 31BHPR (2012 used) and so far I love it. I have 1 little question tough. I'm having a minor issue with the outlets. I'm assuming that the rear fridge is on the same circuit as the one over the sink, as they seems to be both connected to the GFCI in the bathroom. It happened a few times now that the only thing plugged in is the refrigerator from the kitchenette in the back, and that the GFCI just trips. Came back for the week-end and noticed that the little fridge was not very cold, so I resetted the GFCI. I was good for the whole week-end though after that. It happened a couple of time too in my first week-end in the trailer, and it doesn't seems to be related to if there's anything else plugged (I have a power bar plugged, so the powerbar also has a GFCI on it) It doesn't seems to trip when the toaster is on or when we're boiling water in our kettle. (It's hard to tell though if the fridge is working at the same time or not.) So anyway, I was just looking for clues as to what could be the cause. I usually just keep water/cola/drinks in the that fridge so it's not the end of the world, it's just a little annoying. Thanks! Fred Re: Keystone Bullet PremierGood luck. I think you'll really enjoy the rig. Prior to getting an annual site where I built a deck, I simply used that green carpet from Lowes/Walmart. Mine went from door to door. Morrow_d wrote: Hi, I just bought a 2012 "used" 31BHPR. Going to get it May 17! It will be stationary most of the time, but I plan to rent a 2500 RAM once a year to go out for a week. Anyway... I was wondering what people bought for the exterior carpet. I'm wondering if I should get one that goes from the outdoor kitchen all the way to the front door (25 feet long x 9 feet???), or get 2 individual ones... Thanks! Re: Keystone Bullet PremierI routed my cable through the off air antenna and brought it through the entertainment console. Turns out I didnt' need it as they just installed a 4G tower less than a mile from where I camp. Go figure. Good luck. Ricos Ride wrote: Does anyone have any idea how hard it is to remove the refrigerator from the enclosure? I need to route a Cat5 cable to the roof for my mobile amplified Internet antenna. I am thinking of routing it thru the refrigerator roof vent then into the pantry closet and setting up my router on the top shelf. I am also assuming there would be 120V outlet for the refrigerator I could tap into for power. Re: Keystone Bullet Premier Ricos Ride wrote: Did a simple mod today in my 29RTPR. Removed the 26" TV and mount and moved it to the bedroom This is what it looks like sitiing in the recliner Very nice. We don't watch much TV, but when we do, I do have trouble seeing the smaller TV. Thinking about doing the same...Re: Keystone Bullet PremierNot necissarily. We picked up some LED battery lighting from Wal-mart that can be attached to the top of the pantry that lights it just fine. Wish I would've gone the pull out shelf route, but none-the-less, the LED lighting works just fine. Walmart's LED Lighting baunno wrote: SabreCanuck wrote: baunno wrote: Lighting in the Pantry This may have already been discussed in this forum and if it has my apologies so please guide me to the discussion. As Premier owners we all know the pantry is dark. I often use a flashlight to find things and want to light it with LED rope lighting. I'd like to use a plunge switch to turn it on and off, like a refrigerator switch so when you open the door the lights come on. Has anybody done a mod similiar to this? I figure I can tap power from in back of the microwave but it looks like I'll have to pull the frig to run the AC line to the cupboard I'm not keen on doing that... Recommendations accepted! I went the other direction, couldn't stand having to shuffle and move stuff around to get at the items in the back so made our shelves slide out... Don't need a light now. :):) Thats a good idea, it won't be easy to illuminate it without pulling the frig... do you have any pictures you can post of your mod? Thanks Re: Keystone Bullet PremierWe wouldn't trade ours for anything. Simply love everything about it. Just went over the 1 year point. Had to take it in for some repairs, but Keystone lived up to their warranty and we couldn't be happier. Our 3 year old Springdale 296BHSSR is on it's death bed...well not really but it appears that the insurance company is going to "total" it. It was in storage and a nasty storm with 1 inch hail came rolling through. All three roof vents were smashed, the sky light over the shower all broken resulted in water damage through out. It looks like the rubber roof has holes in it as well. Two walls (front and left)of aluminum siding need replaced and it looks like it will cost more to fix it than it is worth. Thats the good news, the bad news is we now have to shop for a new one. :B I found a leftover 2012 Bullet 31BHPR that has been reduced for a quick sale. From what I have read so far, most people like theirs but given the chance would you buy another Bullet Premier? It is a state away and none of the dealers local have one in stock to go look at. We have been happy with the Keystone Springdale and have owned a couple of Jaycos. What do you think, load up the kids and go look/buy it? Have my shelves cut, but couldn't find the studs to screw the Firring Strip to. How did you locate them?
