That's what I hope to say about my truck. I plan on keeping it til it wears out. Right now my FIL has an 05 that he still tows with. Doesn't bother it at all. I had an 04 that I planned to do the same with but it developed some electrical gremlins so I had to get rid of it. Breaks my heart to this day. My 98 is about to become a classic in a few months. The 454 still tows like a champ. I bought it a few years back and liked it so much I eventually parted with a 2011 model that was my prior tow pig. Nothing wrong with driving a new truck. Nothing wrong with enjoying an older one instead.Re: Post your tow vehicle pics here rowekmr wrote: What's a flip kit? Moving the axle over the leaf springs instead of under.Re: Post your tow vehicle pics here rowekmr wrote: What a badass stance for the truck. how did you accomplish that drop and what size are those rims? I had a 3500 Dually with 7.4l and really enjoyed it. DrBaker wrote: For the front I have 3" spindles and 2" springs. The rear uses a flip kit. Wheels are 22.5" Alcoas.Re: Pics of new to me travel trailer 2012Coleman wrote: I think you should find similar wheel for the TT - but looks good as is! Tempting, but I just bought new 15" wheels to replace the 14" in the picture. Rather than matching the truck, I got wheels to match my other trailers.Re: Post your tow vehicle pics here Re: Pics of new to me travel trailer 2oldman wrote: Nice rims bro! What do you do to keep them looking nice? Is that considered a low-profile tire? Fine looking house too. You've done well. Thanks for the kind words. Those are low profile tires. The wheels are best done by a pro. I just look for a Craigslist add for mobile semi wheel polishing. Let them do the hard part. I just use glass cleaner or whatever is available to shine them up between polishings.Re: Pics of new to me travel trailer gbopp wrote: Your truck is awesome. Don't change it. :C I love it. The wife wants me to upgrade, but I have been resisting.Re: Pics of new to me travel trailer rjxj wrote: DrBaker wrote: rjxj wrote: Nice but you better get a more capable truck. :) Thanks, but the truck has been running well and towing great for almost 20 years. I have a feeling the truck will outlast the TT. That smiley face means that I know your truck could pull 3 or 4 of those trailers. :) ....from one gas station to the next. :)Re: Pics of new to me travel trailer downtheroad wrote: Nice looking set up... I really like the stance of your truck...is it lowered? What tires are you running on it? Thanks. Yes it is lowered. The tires are Falken ziex s/tz05.
