I could see at least a thousand just to get it some where and checked out and Im sure they would do an oil change and brake inspection and all the front end things and the rear end only to come upon a major issue like needing injectors or something! If it sat 4 years, have the rodents gotten to it and chewed the wiring? I think someone else mentioned money pit. If you have nothing invested in it I think I would just sell it for what ever you can get! Or just walk away from it!Re: I have never had a Smore Clarryhill wrote: Cloud Dancer wrote: I have never, and will never. Reasons; it doesn't look good, I never have a campfire, and there's lot's of other things I love to eat,.....like home-made apple pie and home-made strawberry shortcake,.....which we usually make while out "camping" in our big motorhome. Over 70 here, and I'll go along with Cloud Dancer. Never had one and would much prefer a piece of Apple or even better Blackberry Pie!! I really dont dislike smores they are just too messy. Now my wife makes me rasberry and strawberry pies while camping! That I will have "Smore of" anytime!Re: I have never had a SmoreIam 60 and have only had maybe 4 and those came as clean up for the grandkids. They are good but I dont like messy eating and smores are worse that BBQ ribs and leaves me with bloated feeling! Easy smore's is 2 keebler fudge stripe cookies and a marshmallow, lots easier than trying to pull a marshmallow off of a stick between a hershey bar and 2 graham crackers! Good but over rated!Re: Campground near Lincoln Nebraska? We have reservations at Pawnee SP in May, 12 miles west of Lincoln.Re: Wife problemHave you thought about wrapping them in white butcher paper and marking them as fish? Just tell her its "SOLE"!Re: rv garageLots of votes for OSB. Just my opinion but when I built my wood shop in 2004, I went with drywall.its dirty now but its been up there a few years now and holding well. I didnt tape anything or paint anything I could make notes on it while talking with customers on the phone. My neighbor had a wood shop and he used OSB but his shop was an old pole building. It looked good but I liked the finished look of the drywall. I dont like to drive nails into walls and prefer shelving that I can screw right to the studs. I use whats called TUFF TRACK and can be bought at big box stores and is easy to install and its adjustable with out putting a lot of holes in the structure. Had I built a pole barn I may have went with the OSB and the possibility of covering it with drywall later! I like the dry wall but its whatever is best for your eyes and as long as it shelters the RV as planned.Re: Anyone have any updates on their Carlisle Radial Trail HD's?I'm a little late to the party on this thread but I just found the info I was looking for! I was looking at the Carlisle and a Heartland both sold at discount tire. Is there any info on Heartland tires? My gut tells me the Carlisle is the way to go! I saw a mention of Maxxis tires but I have those OEM, No more than 3k miles on them and they are wearing thin and will be replaced in the next couple days.Re: Decision : to get an older dog or not ? We got Sam at 2 years old after losing our Jack Russell. We were in search of a puppy that would shed very little. Sam came along and we took him from deplorable conditions and he is the joy of my wife and I. He is a shipoo and he is so laid back and is attached to me. I think if you can find an easy going older pet, I say go for it. We just never thought we would get a 2 year old but glad we did.Re: olde timers help me out !I'll be 60 in July and I had to smile when I read the OP! Yes I remember walking by the new trucks at the dealership on the trip to and from school! I remember not seeing bumpers on the trucks and the trucks on the road had only one tail light and it was legal! I had an uncle that pulled a tt with a 1959 Ford station wagon with the family and thought nothing of it! I remember walking past that dealership and seeing that brand new Teal colored 1964 Chevrolet pick up with the livestock rack! I swore that I was going to own a truck like that but it never happened but I did get into a 68 Chevy P-U later in my 20's and as an 18 year old I did pick up a 65 Chevy SS but stupidly traded it for a 70 Impala! I have neither now, but I still harken back to that Teal truck at that dealer ship! I called it a Bluish green at the time! My health is bad now and I don't have a bucket list but if I did I would seek out a 1964 Bluish green truck with stock racks on it and buy it!Re: Missouri Valley Iowa city parkStayed there all summer late 80's. It was actually the fairgrounds but it served a purpose. It had a showers and restrooms. Neither were kept up and vandals liked to pull the toilet paper from the rolls but those of us staying there managed to get showers especially if they were cleaned on a particular day! At the time it was a free will donation to the city and we were told 5.00 was the expected donation for that time. There is also Wilson Island State park not far from there and it is pretty nice as I recall.
