He paid the money to our insurance company and they sent us a check.Re: True Four Seasons Travel TrailerAnother vote for Arctic Fox. We camp year-round in ours. We have camped by the ocean in mid-winter where it got so cold we had 1/2 of ice on top our slide awning and this past summer we spent 10 days in Indiana in 90 - 100+ weather. Comfy the entire time in both situations.Re: Homemade window awningLooks very nice and in keeping with the age of your rig.Re: Dutch Oven Squash SoupMaking it clickyRe: Slip Covers for catsAre you sure the cats will scratch the leather? Before we purchased a leather couch for our S&B, I left a piece of leather draped over a chair the cats were fond of sleeping in - they ignored it. I would suggest a couple of throws and discrete use of safety pins until you determine how the cats will behave. Also, I would not put their scratching post near the chairs if you are concerned.Re: Where do I put my level when leveling T.T?This works for us. We found a level that was comfortable for us to be in the rig and everything worked. (I am more concerned about the shower draining than the fridge.) I took a reading on the counter above the silverware drawer, that just happens to be next to the stove and fridge, and try to match that reading when we park. For us, that means unless we are on an absolutely level concrete pad, we need to have the slide side about 1/2 bubble high before unhitching. The rig will settle to just shy of level when unhitched and slides out. YMMVRe: What did I just find in my rig?If you use poison, you run the risk of the rodent dying in some inaccessible place in your rig - the smell will last way too long and permeate everything.Re: Arctic Fox 5th wheelWe have the 2012 29-5E. The biggest reasons we purchased that model over the others available 5 years ago was the ability to access the fridge on a stop without putting out the slide and it would fit in our driveway. It is hard to go wrong with a Northwoods.Re: Campground in the Port Townsend, WA areaUnder no circumstances do you want to take your motorhome into Seattle. Do park at the Bremerton or Bainbridge Island Ferry and walk on. Seattle is a wonderful city to explore on foot and they have a decent bus service and taxis. It is miserable to drive in the city and parking is a nightmare. The Olympic and Kitsap Peninsulas are wonderful places to explore. Try to take a trip through the Hoh Rainforest.Re: My first rear kitchen - drawer and cabinet latches? We have the 2012 29-5E, similar floor plan, just a couple of feet longer. The only time I had a problem with the drawers was when I had pots and pans in the lower big drawer - it was too much weight for that drawer latch. I installed a childproof latch and rearranged storage and have not had a problem since. I slap all doors and drawers as part of the rig for tow preparation, and before I open the slide I check the pantry door to be sure it has not bounced open. Again, redistributing how things were stored fixed the issue so far (canned goods are now on the bottom shelf). Forgot to check one time and popped the trim off the slide. :o
