My friend has rolled 2 camping trailers, my uncle has to change his rear tires twice on any long trip.... I have a 05 Tahoe v8 5.3l engine. When I ran the calculator- max tow and cargo- 4,000lbs. The 2010 13qbb-camplite no bath, at 1600lbs +cargo 1000lbs. Towing with the Tahoe - not a shimmy, did not get blown over by the 50 mph wind gusts. Barley bogged down on the hills. The manufacture tow rating? 8,000lbs.Re: Livin Lite Camplite owner - review/commentsthere is a web site called changin' gears- it has a calculator for finding the safe towing range. you will need to hunt up certain bits of information about your tow vehicle but that's not so hard- most can be found on the the brands web site. you will need to account for the weight of your camping gear- sleeping bags, cookware, water, sewage, food, fuel etc.Re: Livin Lite Camplite owner - review/commentshey all- i've had camplite 13 ft bunkhouse version for 3yrs, now has any one else had issues with the exterior compartment doors? several of mine were replaced when they did the aluminum version of rust- white flaky powder and buckled skin. other than the "rust" issue the camper has served me fine. i tow with my dodge grand caravan and get about 10-11 mpg. i will be needing a different tow vehicle in the near future- anyone have experience with the ford fusions or the f 150's with eco boost? thanks!
