Black mountain on I-40 east of Asheville NC is the steepest but not bad. They have a regulated speed (35) for trailers and a dedicated lane for same. I suggest using all the bypass routes for the city's. Adds more time but less stress. There are 2 routes depending on your rig and what your comfortable driving.I-80 to I-77 to I-40 route is the most direct but has some steep grades to pull and go down.Its about a 11 hr drive. I-75 to I-40 is a straight shoot down then east. It to has a few grades but nothing like I-77. Its about a 13 1/2 hour drive. The fan still comes on the the thermostat seams to be working correctly. The problem seams to be the condenser/compressor is not kicking on. Has anyone else had this problem? Trying not to spend 1300.00 plus a new thermostat right now. Thanks for any help.
