TV surge protector
Hello, RVing with friends, staying at an RV par near New York city, they hooked up the cable TV to their 5th wheel. When removing it several days later, discovered both ends of the cable were melted. The cable attachment behind their two TVs also melted. Estimate to repair minimum $8-10,000. KOA’s insurance company condemned the 5th wheel because of liability concerns with the entire electrical system. Fortunately I did not hook-up our cable tv. Are there any surge protectors for outdoor cable lines used in RVs? I found several for household cable protection against lightning, but nothing for RV use. Thank you in advance…….. Hello -- planning a trip from Denver to San Antonio at the end of Feb/first of March. Any suggestions of which route to take? Google Map gives different recommendations than does Good Sam. Plan on making the trip in 2-3 days and have concerns with possible sudden weather changes, etc. RV campgrounds not a must, Walmart works if campground not nearby. Thank you in advance. Planning a trip from Colorado to Gettysburg 1st couple of weeks in May. Researching RV parks and State parks found several... any recommendations? We don't have children, therefore not necessary to have pools, playgrounds, etc...not against them just don't need them. Thanks so much for all of the info...first time camping in Florida, will be outlining the state for the whole month, staying in State Parks on the coast.
