I just took two scrap pieces of 1x6's cut to length and placed them in aisle. I then remove the front wheels of our 2 bikes positioned the bikes where they would not move - marked the boards and used mounts from Amazon. The bikes are inside, out of the weather and possible theft for about $70.00. Easy solution for me. https://www.amazon.com/MBP-Alloy-Release-9x100mm-Storage/dp/B07MDXZGMB/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2IM1Y060167SW&keywords=bike+skewers+mounts&qid=1658186842&sprefix=bike+skewers+mounts%2Caps%2C74&sr=8-3Re: Does anyone need some used Happijacs?I'd be interested, PM sentRe: When a redneck wins the lottery.... I installed two Pollak 2 pole recepticals, one on the camper and one in the bed of the truck. Each is weather sealed and I don't have any pigtail to worry about when the camper is off the truck which is most of the time in my case. I then made a connector cable with the female connectors on each end. Works great for me, but not the least expensive solution. I also looked into trolling motor connectors but wanted something with a higher amp rating. https://www.etrailer.com/Wiring/Pollak/PK12801.html?feed=npn&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Google%20%7C%20Shop%20-%20Wiring&adgroupid=84618835800&campaignid=1672412098&creative=394587238933&device=c&devicemodel=&feeditemid=&keyword=&loc_interest_ms=&loc_physical_ms=9001738&matchtype=&network=g&placement=&position=&gclid=Cj0KCQjwnoqLBhD4ARIsAL5JedInXyn3TtLtTAXS013RVl9eO0mH-XMJQtjQJLEBR7yN215etQmDhbMaAsxnEALw_wcBRe: Battery Question pianotuna wrote: adamis wrote: I don't understand these arguments at all... If you have a LiFePo4 battery and camp in extreme cold weather, move the battery to inside the camper. Problem solved... Take it out of storage at -37 and let me know how that works for you. It is fine if one were full time. I'm still waiting for FWC to describe the power system he uses. If I were to take mine out of storage at -37, assuming the batteries had some % of charge remaining, I would: 1. Shut off/disconnect any charging devices - solar, shore power, DC-DC charger, no genny running. 2. Start the furnace. My 2 BB batteries are inside the conditioned space and have a heat duct discharge adjacent to the batteries. Let the furnace run for 24 hrs. while monitoring the battery temp via my Victron BM712 and an external digital thermostat next to the batts. My external digital thermo switch, serves a double duty as my Victron DC/DC charger generates considerable heat, so I installed 2 small 4" fans which are set to come on at 30C. My BB batts do not have built in heaters which are available. 3. Once I'm confident the internal battery temp is above 32F/0C, I'd start charging them. Note: If attempting to charge cold batteries, according Tony discussions with BB, the BB internal battery monitor will disconnect at 25F to prevent damage to the batteries. To reset the internal BM, just disconnect/reconnect the negative battery cable. On a side note, the coldest I've ever experienced was during an extended business trip to Prince Albert, SK. I'm not sure I'd personally want to camp in that weather but with adequate preparation, it should be possible.Re: Dump station app for androids?I use Allstays (iOS version) which I really like, they do have an Android version according to their website. May be expensive.Re: Battery box delete? On my Bigfoot, I installed 2 Battleborn Batteries, I removed the battery box as it was vented to the outside. I replaced the external access cover with a waterproof, insulated cover and now the batteries are inside the conditioned space. There is also a heat duct adjacent to the batteries to keep them toasty. The batteries are partially under the sink so I installed a large plexiglass shield above them and used automotive firewall boots to run the new battery cables through. All switches, main fuse, breakers, etc, are also protected via plexiglass should a water leak develop and to prevent accidental contact. I'd also like to add 1 or 2 more batteries but do not have the space inside with sacrificing more storage space.Re: Trip recommendationCheck out the "Allstays" app. I use it almost exclusively. Tons of information on campgrounds of all types. - links to websites, reviews, photos, propane, dump stations, truck stops, low clearance, etc. Makes traveling without reservations easy. Includes everything from RV resorts to primitive free sites, including Wally World.Re: Larger Windows in Bigfoot Campers? The mid bath is the reason I searched long and hard for a used Bigfoot 25C9.4SB. Four windows not counting the door. Back in to a campsite and enjoy the view. In addition a large skylight above the entry makes for a very bright interior. https://www.bigfootrv.com/images/2500_truck_campers/01_25C9.4SB.jpg
