When we were on it last it was super rough, any update.Re: Best Quickest Route Waco to Springfield MOTake I-35 thru Ft Worth, TX and then the toll roads from Oklahoma City to Springfield. Much quicker and a better ride. The last time I was on US69 in Oklahoma it was so rough that I was thinking that the Dentist was going to be visited to check on my fillings.Re: Quikee Step problemSame problem, so I replaced the motor and that didn't solve the problem. A good friend of mine in the RV industry advised that I pull the sensor, strip the wire and touch them together and if the step worked then it was a bad switch. Needless to say, it was a bad switch.Re: Millie has passed...Our condolences over the loss of your loved fur kid. It is the toughest decision to make, but the love you showed by not letting Millie suffer and holding her to the end is so wonderful. Most people don't understand the emotional impact when you have to make that decision. God Bless.Re: Texas route help againPersonally, I would take 35 to 1604 to 10. Easier drive.Re: So now, how to do SanAntonio?I would recommend staying on I-10 to Loop 1604 near Randolph AFB, TX. It's dual lane highway and it connects with !-10 to ElPaso/Ft Stockton. Hwy 46 is a scenic route, mostly single lane, and very time consuming.Re: Class A fuel mileageThere are to many factors in figuring MPG in an RV, i.e. running the generator to power house A/C, size of toad, terrain, etc. I have always wondered why RVers worry about MPG since they spent around 300K for a Diesel. FYI, I get approx 7-8MPG pulling a Jeep Liberty toad, running generator for A/C, etc with a 40' HR with a Cummins ISC 350.Re: Branson in Nov/Dec?We were in Branson/Springfield area for most of Nov 2015. Branson has a wonderful veterans day celebration, i.e. large parade, vet's eat free in many locations, some show are free. However, it can get rather chilly (freezing at night) and chilly during the day. It's well worth the trip and you will enjoy. I highly recommend you visit the College of the Ozarks Museum, and see the AYO show at the Mickey Gilley theatre, They are the kids that were on Americas Got Talent that their mother was in a coma for 9 months after a car wreck and they sang to her while she was in the hospital. Great show!!!Re: Route around Austin TexasWithout a doubt take the toll road. It is longer and you pay tolls but it's worth every penny. Saves your sanity as you don't have to mess with that I35 traffic.Re: Indian Nations Turnpike or Highway 69 In OklahomaI was recently in Fayetteville, AR and returned on 69. It's the sorriest road that I have driven on in years. I thought some Louisiana highways were bad, but this was worse. Personally, I would go 35W to Oklahoma City then the turnpikes.
