We do finally have a few trips planned we are headed to Fort Morgan RV park in 10 days. If anyone has any input on the area, please let us know. The other trips are trips with our horses to places we have already been. I bit nervous I am old and don't have my horse or me in shape yet. I do live near Louisville, KY and we are big into The Derby around here. However our first trail ride is Derby Day we all camp at a close state park and have Oaks & Derby parties and ride. Mainly to escape the crazy people here for the Derby. It's not great timing to go on vacation right before but we didn't get to go to Florida this winter and I love the beach or I hope the bay. So happy it's finally getting warm the older I get the more I have winter. Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story} Hi MetalGator you are not talking to yourself, I read whenever there is s notification but don't search this forum like I did the other one. I don't read anything but this thread. Before I read a bunch and learned a lot. I have been pondering since your last post, our motor home is the same age with the same tires. It got us talking replacing the tires before we go very far. We didn't go to Florida this year, we usually take 2 horses 2 dogs and escape the Indiana weather for a few weeks. This year we decided to stay home and save $$, which sounded good till we thought about new tires. Thankfully the weather in southern Indiana hasn't been very bad, and my husband actually took early retirement so we hope to travel more this year. So far only 2 trips planned one close to home and we will ride in Shawnee National Forest in May. We have a side by side (very handy on farm) I would love to replace with a golf cart for the dogs. If you ever need a stop over place just North of Louisville, KY just let me know. Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story} So happy to see a few find this website. The only thing I can say good about it is......it sends me an email when someone posts, so I can find it again. My husband has retired and we are stuck at home with critters in freezing Indiana. Just waiting for Spring. I had to set up an new account so my name has changed. I feel like I have to post every now and then so it keeps doing it. I hate winter. Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story} Well this was a shock and took me awhile playing seek and find to locate this thread. I used to be Shadow 57 but some how I ended up changed to Peanut57. I have read and cried over this thread since my days in the office and been retired since 08. Shadow has crossed the rainbow bridge but I do still have Peanut. plus a few other critters. So happy I found this thread, now to figure out how to save it to locate it again. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
