It did have the blank plug in there. Tested it with the 30a fuse from stud#2, Walla, 12v at the plug without the ignition on,, Perfect Thanks for the help guys TRe: '04 Suburban (power at the trailer connector)tnx, but a 30 amp fuse is already installed in Stud #2, I have the factory wiring harness for the Tekonsha Controller installed, as mentioned brake controller and lights work fine, just no 12v at the trailer connector plugRe: '04 Suburban (power at the trailer connector)My manual says stud 1 is for "auxiliary power (single battery and diesels only)/ dual battery (tp2) do not install fuse I'll check all suggestions thanksRe: '04 Suburban (power at the trailer connector) JPeyton wrote: corrosion: first thing I would check for. I've had to plug in and out several times (and improving continuity by scraping) these connections before. Tried that, contacts are pretty clean, My Buddy at the flying field has a '06 Suburban, same issue when testing it on his truckRe: '04 Suburban (power at the trailer connector) stew47 wrote: Did you put in the maxi fuse under the hood? Is the ground ok at the 7 way? Fuse is OEM 30a Lights and brake controller work fine,, so I'd say yes.'04 Suburban (power at the trailer connector)Hey guys, Thought you RV guys might know the answer here,, One of my hobbies is RC Model airplanes, I built a extension harness that takes power from the 7-pin connector so I can use the 12v. for my charging equipment at the field. This works perfectly on my '02 2500, but I can't get it to work on my '04 suburban I recently bought. I've tried engine running, ignition on and off, I don't get power back there, The 30a fuse is good and in place for the aux tab that powers the trailer harness, What am I missing? ThanksRe: Odd electrical issueWell it's a lance camper, to run off the on-board generator I do have to plug the shore power cord into a plug in the cord storage compartment. From that plug it goes directly to the panel/power converter, Does that mean there is no transfer switch? an overload switch on the generator maybe? It's just odd that it was doing it with the portable gens too, and now it's running off the portables fineRe: Odd electrical issueFollow up,,, got the generator running,, spring must have popped out of the fuse holder. Original problem still persists,,, Can anyone tell me where to locate the transfer switch?Re: Odd electrical issueI don't know where to locate the transfer switch to look to see what model it is. ok, "what trips", it's not any of the AC breakers Image all the ac is all off, I start the generator, the light on the microwave lights up for a split second and goes off,,,, no AC working anywhere in the rig but the generator is still running, It never comes back onRe: Odd electrical issue pianotuna wrote: Hi, Are you simply plugging the shore power cord into the generator? yes, I went out and cycled the "30 amp line breaker" switch which is on the on-board generator,, also removed the panel to find the blue wire on that switch loose.. put it back together only for the odd problem gets odder,, now it works via both portable generators (like it always did just fine in the past), but now the generator won't even turn over from either switch,, but I am getting 13v to the fuse on the generator,,, just odd Yes,, this is a recent problem,,, everything including the AC running off the EU3000 now
