It's cold all the time. I live in California, so it is colder than the ambient temperature around it. I've tried turning it off using the renters manual that came with the rig, but it is still on. Now what?Re: Buying a Former Rental Class C. How many of us out there?Greetings all and Happy New Year! I own a 2012 CD 23A. What should the PSI be in the tires? A little sticker says no more than 60 in the front and no info about the back at all. Inquiring minds and all that.Re: Doggie car sicknessHow much Dramamine do you use per pound? I have a 10 pound Chi mix that I foster and he does not do well in cars. I have yet to try the RV.Re: Buying a Former Rental Class C. How many of us out there?Anything new coming up for folks? How were your summer travels?Re: Buying a Former Rental Class C. How many of us out there?I would call Sturken RV in San Jose 408-295-7195. I had very good luck with them with my previous and unusual RV (VW Eurovan and Winnie, class C). I can tell you stories about that Frankenstein of an RV!Re: Buying a Former Rental Class C. How many of us out there?Regarding back up cameras... I went with a wired camera on my back bumper. I definitely wanted a wired camera and was willing to have in on my bumper to allow the wires to run under the chassis. I really like it because I can don't have the lights on the back of the rig blinding the camera and I get a great idea of how close something is behind me. JMHO and YMMV.Re: Buying a Former Rental Class C. How many of us out there? Snowman9000 wrote: I hope your battery isn't truly dead. Was it new from the sale? VERY dead. I ran it down by accident when I had the water pump on for three days...then again overnight during the trip. No, it wasn't new from the sale, but a working one from their fleet.Re: Buying a Former Rental Class C. How many of us out there?:B Just completed my maiden voyage with my 2012 CA 23a. It was fantastic! only problem was that the battery died and wont' charge. Checked using a voltmeter and with the dohicky that you put into the cells. All cells are dead. Oh well. Spent two days boondocking at a ranch in Hollister, CA were my dog completed in a Barn Hunt. The RV was perfect for me, my dog, and my friend and her two dogs. had my CPAP plugged into the cigarette lighter and it pulled very little from the engine battery. Got good use out of the new awning as well. Then spent two days in Pacific Grove, CA by the Pacific Ocean. Had hookups and enjoyed a nearby beach that allowed leash-free dogs to run wild. They did, resulting in a very quiet ride home. Thank heavens for the laminate flooring! So much was spilled on it! From dog food to water to juice. The rig was easy to clean up. Had a blast and very happy with my CA 23a!Re: Buying a Former Rental Class C. How many of us out there? Perick wrote: Has anyone gone from a model with slide outs to a model without? Regarding back up camera. I just had a wired model installed. It is on the rear bumper and the wiring goes under the rig. It was not possible to have a wired camera installed at the top of the rig. Thank you 510dogmom - this is helpful. I truly have no idea if I'll even need the dual battery setup any time soon. For the backup camera, why wasn't it possible to be installed at the top of the rig? The walls are solid and thick. There is no way you can run wires down to under the carriage without seeing the wiring inside the RV or down the back or side of the RV. CA makes their rigs as dummy proof as possible and as unbreakable as possible. That is one of the main reasons I like my CA 23A, I have a history with RVs, but that was with my ex-husband. This is MY first solo rig and I'm learning by hands on. I need a rig that will be as forgiving as possible with my blunders and errors. ;) Thinking about it, if I decide to upgrade my solar power, If I can, I will upgrade the panel that is already on the rig.
