Or do I need to find a EU2000i Companion? Can't find a new one yet, maybe gotta look used if the new companion won't work. TIAWD/Sway ControlWe've decided on a Grand Design 297RSTS travel trailer. Can't wait to get it, so much more room compared to our TC! I'm gonna pull it with a 15 F350 PSD CCSB SWR. The tongue weight will probably be about 950-1000lbs fully loaded. That's over our hitch rating of 850lbs for non weight distribution. I think I've got plenty of truck for this 34' trailer but I'm gonna need sway control and some weight distribution. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I've read good things about an Anderson, a Curt and a Reese. What are you using and what works good for you. I'm leaning towards the Anderson but I have no real world experience with these hitches. TIA SRRe: 35' Rear LivingWe looked at 5ers but we still want to keep the TC and do the beach thing. Maybe if my truck had the pucks in the bed we could go gooseneck but with only 3500 max payload we're still somewhat limited. I really want a F450 but we lose the beach camping. And we're ready to roll, now's not the time to buy a new truck. We've got a good truck with a good engine, according to Blackstone, and a tt is the way to go for us. But we may not find one for a couple years anyway.35' Rear LivingWe're looking for a TT for retirement. Just DW, myself and the dog. We've enjoyed the TC on the beach but we're ready for more space. TV is a F350 PSD SRW so 14k lbs is the max. A rear living is our fav but without a good rv show, like Hershey, it's hard to pick one. We like the Jayco and Keystone units, Airstreams not so much, but any recommendations are appreciated. We want to stay around 35' (ext length) to be ok in state parks. What RLs do you own and why? TIA SRRe: Anyone pulling a Montana 3120 with a SRW short bed? Thanks for the great advice guys. We love the Montana layout but it's a bit much for my truck. We are starting to look smaller, maybe a Jayco Eagle HT 27RS. I wanna stay with the SRW because we'll always want to campout on the OSV at Assateague Island and I prefer my truck than a DRW on the beach. My goal is to keep the truck camper for beach use and have the 5er for non coastal expeditions. I'm investigating the Anderson Ultimate 5th wheel hitch which will keep the bed clear, with minimal work, for the TC. So many options, thankfully retirement is a couple years away yet, lol. Thanks again PeaceAnyone pulling a Montana 3120 with a SRW short bed? We're considering a Montana 3120 and the numbers say it'll work with the truck: 2015 F350 PSD SRW short bed with 3500 lbs payload, 11500 lbs gvwr. How much tongue weight, 20%? Anyone doing it or is it made for a dually? This would be our first 5er. ThanksLooking for battery recommendationsI'm in the market for a new battery and your recommendation and advice are highly appreciated. Your experience is what I'm looking for so I can learn about current battery technology and make a good decision. My rig is a Lance truck camper with room for a group 24 only. I'm thinking agm and I'm told my charging circuit will work with an agm. We mostly camp on the beach and I don't have solar, I'll run the generator. I don't have any idea what's a good brand. I've heard of optimus, precision and duracell. I've been told stay away from a hybrid rv/marine and stick to a true deep cycle battery. What's a good true deep cycle rv battery? What worked for you or didn't work for you? Thank you very much for your input. RickRe: F150 Ecoboost vs F250 Diesel mileageI own both engines, Ecoboost in a 2018 Expedition and a 2015 F350 PSD/SRW. I use the truck to haul a 3000lb truck camper, no towing. I get about 10-12 mpg. But of course diesel is more expensive than 87 octane.Need a 5er hitch that'll work with the TCWe're going to Hershey next month to look at 5ers. We want one for retirement in a few years. But we'll also wanna use our TC on Assateague Island, love AI. Does anyone have a solution for this scenario? I guess we can go TT but I'd prefer a 5th wheel. Or we can buy a second truck... nope, that's not gonna happen! I guess I can get under the truck and remove a few bolts. And I have a stall mat in the bed I can cut out for a mounting plate. Any ideas would be much appreciated, thanks.CG reviews North Myrtle Beach, SCLooking for reviews of the following campgrounds: Riverside RV Resort Sherwood Forest Briarcliffe Captain Andys Hughes Family Or any other in North Myrtle Beach or Calabash, NC. We'll be visiting my brother in Calabash in our TC and don't wanna go as far south as Huntington Beach SP, otherwise that would be my first choice. No kids, no pets, just me and DW. Full hookup is nice but not a necessity. Just electric would do. Thanks
