Instead of having a conventional faucet washer which has a broad and hard rubber surface which gives years of good service in homes - these have something like an o-ring which isn't as strong or wear-resistant. Take your water system valves apart to inspect these o-rings. It's a shame these were used in some RVs because they have to withstand the same pressures as household water systems supply - and a failure at the worng time can leave you stranded with no fresh water.Re: HR EndeavorRE: Bulldogs. They pretty much DID buy it for nothing - no one wanted it. There was nothing left of the dealer network - no exclusive products or technology, and what there was was impractical to use. They bought the brand names for the most part - and what's in a name? Tiffin was in a growing mode when the recession hit - they held on for the ride - and survived. Monaco was nearing death when the recession hit, and there was little there to save. What was there was smoke and mirrors that looked like a growing company.Re: Toilet filling with water by itself!First things first - get a new water valve for the toilet! If all the water coming INTO the trailer is off, is your water tank HIGHER than your toilet valve? Color in the bottom of the toilet only indicates that nothing is comeing from BELOW, and I suspect your nose would know if it was. It's an interesting question, but I suspect it'll be an easy fix. You might also install a toilet line shut-off (like at home) if you don't have one. Be sure to check that the toilet valve actuator rod or cable isn't somehow pinched causing it to be too short.Re: removing storage pods on roof...fixing holes???Gheesh! Everyone is still going on about Eternabond and not warning to NOT USE SILICONE with it. You also can not use silicone on a RUBBER ROOF - first things first... what kind of roof is it? From the era when those pods were popular, your roof could be nearly anything.Re: Carpenter AntsThere are many types of ants called "carpenter ants". The real ones eat FAST - the others are more interested in the water - the wood gets eaten "in the way". Either way, no one wants them. A bomb won't reach every hidden recess. You can also insert Diatomaecious Eart into all spaces - and certainly into areas you have open. It is a non-toxic, safe powder which kills and keeps on killing insect by cutting their bodies and causing them to dry out. Totally safe around humans and animal - get "food quality" DE - I but it on Ebay. Insects track it back to nests - and eat dead ones with DE on them. You could also inject it through small holes and cracks. I've finally tamed my 30 year invasion at home - the exterminators couldn't!Re: 1994 Tioga 460 Ford No passing gearThat transmission would be an E40D with the small button on the end of the shifter stalk. You WOULD have a shift down from "overdrive" to third gear. If you don't have the button on the stalk, you have the older three speed transmission with could still drop down a gear at certain lower speeds.Re: 1989 Pace Arrow Stove Burners Not WorkingWhile your sensor (as you describe) may e sensing and "releasing" correctly, the solenoid may not be opening the gas valve - solenoid or wiring problem. Try turning the sensor on and off (allowing time to reset) and having someone listen to the solenoid at the tank. The sensors are known to have a life of aout ten years, but yours sounds to e working correctly.Re: 1989 Pace Arrow Stove Burners Not WorkingbRe: ERS for FW'sTHey usually send someone capable of handling your specific problem - much better than the others!Re: Front wheels lockedDo you mean the steering had locked all the way to one side - or the WHEELS were not turning? Was the ignition lock OFF and the steering wheel was free to turn as it wanted. You didn't say what year Wrangler - it makes a difference. Second Gear would make no difference. It's rare but possible that the steering column turned all the way to one side - and stayed there. You could also have front suspension wear prolems which could contribute to the cause. Dealers typically are clueless to towing issues. If your tires were fully worn, there should have been SMOKE and NOISE sufficient to alert you to the problem. I doubt it was immediate.
