Use the Diesel Kleen additive every tank, silver bottle in spring/summer, white in fall/winter. U can get it at wallyworld pretty cheap...if you're handy & don't mind getting your hands dirty once in awhile, do your own oil/filter and fuel filter changes--you will save a ton of money DIY over a dealer on those types of items...6.7 is an absolute beast at towing-especially with the power bump of the 2015's-that's icing on the cake...380Views0likes0CommentsRe: 5th wheel vs. motorhome
We traded a 38' Class A Itasca in for our 5'er.. MH positives: more convenient, can get up & move around on the road, longer range with it's 75 gall gas tank, toad is easier to drive around in when u arrive, easier to setup when u arrive at the CG MH negatives: you get all the maint of a HD truck (cost) to go along with the coach RV maint--every MH is going to be a money pit, constantly have to put money into it, you have to keep it insured for Liab/UM etc to keep registration active in most states, 75 gallon fillups at the gas station! You could always look into a cared for used Diesel, that's what I did when I got sticker shock looking into new back in 2013 when I went from my Class A to a Fiver. Even used they're not cheap but I saved over $12k buying mine used with 27k miles on it. Just another option you can consider. I've pulled heavy here in CO with a gasser & believe there is no comparison to a turbo-diesel when u hit those passes here.....270Views0likes0Comments
