Did You?had mine done a few months ago---only thing I noticed was the DEF was saying 800 miles to empty immed after the update---only took 2 galls to fill it up, no issues with it since thenRe: Do I need a hitch lock? Oakman wrote: I use a kingpin lock when our fifth wheel is at the storage lot where we keep our trailer between trips. While I don't think it's necessary, it's still cheap insurance. that's the only time I use mine as well...if they really want to steal the rig they could get it off but it will slow them down...Re: Took the Challenger in for new front A/C. . . UPDATEThose Pinnacles are nice rigs-we seriously considered one before going with our Infinity when we decided to get rid of our Class A money pit....we liked the floor plan of the Infinity better but on retrospect, wished we had went with the Pinnacle--better built unitRe: Curt hitchanother happy Q20 owner, just be sure to keep it lubed and it will serve you wellRe: Advice please for Ford F350 6.7lUse the Diesel Kleen additive every tank, silver bottle in spring/summer, white in fall/winter. U can get it at wallyworld pretty cheap...if you're handy & don't mind getting your hands dirty once in awhile, do your own oil/filter and fuel filter changes--you will save a ton of money DIY over a dealer on those types of items...6.7 is an absolute beast at towing-especially with the power bump of the 2015's-that's icing on the cake...Re: Tires and Shocks Paul Clancy wrote: I put Monroe reflex on my 02 2500hd d/a and was quite impressed with them. Same here, just replaced my OE Ranchos with the Reflex--Ranchos were basically shot at 45k miles--big improvement going to the Reflex shocksRe: AvalancheYou better check the tow rating on your MH, most gassers are max rated at 5k lbs towingRe: 5th wheel vs. motorhomeWe traded a 38' Class A Itasca in for our 5'er.. MH positives: more convenient, can get up & move around on the road, longer range with it's 75 gall gas tank, toad is easier to drive around in when u arrive, easier to setup when u arrive at the CG MH negatives: you get all the maint of a HD truck (cost) to go along with the coach RV maint--every MH is going to be a money pit, constantly have to put money into it, you have to keep it insured for Liab/UM etc to keep registration active in most states, 75 gallon fillups at the gas station! After owning both (plus 2 other Trav Trlr's) I prefer the 5'er combo....Re: 2009 GMC Sierra 3500 issueare your batteries original? If they are-you'll get all kinds of weird electrical issues when they start to go...Re: Diesel or GasYou could always look into a cared for used Diesel, that's what I did when I got sticker shock looking into new back in 2013 when I went from my Class A to a Fiver. Even used they're not cheap but I saved over $12k buying mine used with 27k miles on it. Just another option you can consider. I've pulled heavy here in CO with a gasser & believe there is no comparison to a turbo-diesel when u hit those passes here.....
